Guys, the Clones weren't the Jedi's army. That's that hack writer Karen Traviss talking. The Clones were ultimately loyal to the Republic government. The Jedi fight the war because they have an obligation to protect the Republic (nevermind the fact that the person leading the Confederacy is a Sith, a person apart of a pseudo-darwinistic cult who are absolutely evil). If the Jedi decided, for some inane reason, that they should sit out of the war, the Republic would still have the clones fighting the Separatists, a force led by a bunch of plutocrats that ultimately answer to Count Dooku (who is, again, a Sith). Simple as that. They won't start drafting their own men, because they know that the Clones will be the ones fighting for them, because they're bred to fight for them. Furthermore, we've seen time and time again that the Jedi care about the clones and the clones care about them. You don't have to look at the TV shows, recent comics from Marvel, or recent books to know that they share a bond; in the ROTS, there is camaraderie between Obi-Wan and Cody (Obi-Wan does not call him by his number).

Yeah, the Clones answer to the Chancellor not the Jedi.

Why?

Delta Squad managed to stay canon since Sev, Fixer, and Cutter cameo in a Season 3 episode of Clone Wars.

And they're all still Snarky SOBs.

I just see a lot of discussion about the direction that the author took with the series. The criticism is also something that comes up with the current Halo books that Traviss is writing.

Uh... One more nitpick: Dooku was a Dark Jedi, not a Sith

Well he is Sidious' direct apprentice before his death...

Edit: Dooku also takes the moniker Darth Tyranus.

She has a curious view on Jedi and mercenaries. Also, the breeding camps in Gears of War. So numbers are very low and war is desperate, so let's force half the combat force continously bear children.

About whether the Force changes the user who doesn't use the dark side, I think not by itself, in fact it seems the problem the PT Jedi had was they didn't allow themselves to be influenced, the Code looks both restrictive and totally selfmade. They were like a religion all about church and very little about god. It's a contrast to QGJ or OT OB1 and Yoda, who let the Force be their guide rather than a tool to their goals.

Dooku was a Sith, but he was never meant to be the true apprentice. He was merely a pawn in the soon to be Emperors machinations.

With the new emperor, the Rebels will be in serious trouble, that's for sure.

The clones were hardly slaves. That's a silly thing to say. They were genetically designed to be soldiers, they knew nothing of "freedom", nor had any desire for it. (Some clones received genetic enhancements/alterations, but that's a whole different ball of wax)

The episode "The Deserter" from the Clone Wars series would seem to fly in the face of that argument, where it's discovered that one of the Clones decided to go AWOL from his unit, became a peaceful farmer and even started a family.

Would be kind of hard for him to do if he had no concept of freedom or desire for it?

It's someone's wishful thinking. Don't mention it here.

It's like saying I read a piece that said Kyle Katarn might be in this.

The chance of Jar Jar being the new Emperor is higher!

In her halo trilogy (I read the first two, not touching the third) she ventures into outright bashing of established characters.

Dr. Hasley is her favorite target.

There are scenes in that second book that exist for no other reason than to make Halsey look stupid.  At that point I just had to put the book down and walk away.

I am officially never reading anything by that woman ever again.
