It would have also been better if Anakin had fallen in love with a female Jedi, it would have given him a whole other reason to resent the Jedi Order and leave them behind (especially if his secret wife got exiled when the council discovered she was pregnant).
I don't see how that would enhance the story. To me it's kind of pointless just to shift from senator to jedi, since the rule of forbidden love will stay the same.

I imagine another Sith or Jedi could have done it. I mean some Jedi and Sith choose to manipulate the force to regulate the beam of their lightsaber. And if we take the SWTOR trailers as canon Satele Shan was able to hold off Malgus's saber with her bare hands using the force. If you have quick enough reflexes it could be possible to deflect a bolt or two with just the force.
Would love to see that again in the new movies. It was so boss when Vader did it to Han, it was like "******, please "

I don't know. I've heard multiple things he could be playing. The one I said seems most credible to me though because I can't see a place that

The fact that she would have been exiled and that there would have been more moments for them to build a legitimate relationship without it being obvious and yet somehow unobvious to the movie characters. I find it quite odd that he and Padme hung out as much as they did without it being obvious to anyone that something was going on between them, would have made more sense if she were a Jedi that he went on missions with.

Is the Kylo Ren character wearing a Sith Mask in the new trailer??? Sure does look so. Where did he get it..... I think someone's been to Korriban.

I think it would have been much more interesting if both she and Anakin were close to Palpatine and he used her to corrupt Anakin. Would have been a much more interesting final fight. Possibly a three way bout between her, Ani, and Obi-Wan? Maybe not if she's pregnant but definitely a cooler origin for Luke and Leia IMO.

Wouldn't that be more odd if the Jedi saw that Anakin and the female Jedi were hanging out together. Besides no one, but Obi-Wan knew that Anakin and Padme were very good friends.

Didn't Mace or Yoda mention something?
Maybe I'm getting that confused with their comments on Palpatine and Anakin.

Well of course.
I think the Fjedi-Anakin thing probably could have worked. I mean other Jedi have done it.
Oh wait.....Never mind. Thanks Disney!

I know this isn't canon but on the lightsaber point I always thought it would be really cool to have the weapon operated not by a switch but my the Jedi using the Force. Essentially that telekinesis being necessary to keep some internal parts together to make it work.
Some sabers are. I don't know about keeping the parts together, but activation and length control have been determined by force manipulation. It all depends on the user and preference. And it is canon, don't let the Mouse tell you otherwise

Actually Lucas changed it. He decided he liked Moraband better than Korriban while the Clone Wars was being filmed.
The name change doesn't bother me too much, besides Korriban sounding better. The events of the original trilogy occur over 3,000 years after the events of KOTOR and SWTOR. It kind of makes sense that a lot could change within that time.
It sort of mirrors the real word in that. 2,000 years ago for example London was Londinium, Barcelona was Barcino, and Paris was Lutetia.
