Disney changed the canon about lightsabers now, I think. Lightsabers changes colours based on the wielder's alligeance now. It isn't based on the colour of the crystal anymore. The rebels writers spoke about it. Ashoka has a white lightsaber (it turned white) because she is not associated with the jedi order anymore.

Stupid, I know. Since Anakin's lightsaber is still blue after he turns sith.

I know it isn't canon anymore, but in Riptide you could change the color of your lightsaber by focusing on the crystal to make it mesh with your alignment. Maybe this is how it works now and the reason that Anakin's saber was still blue was because he didn't attune it because he had other things on his mind at the time?

Uh... What the hell?

So, what are the Color Crystals for anyway? Are they even used now?

Tie Fighters suddenly have artificial gravity and life support now too. Meaning the Tie pilots are rather dumb to carry life support around in the movies. Kind of like wearing scuba gear inside submarines.

Yeah. The B-wings are now suddenly available before SW ep 6. They were at another base during the Yavin attack. Despite the rebels clearly only had 1 base at the time. I guess when Tarkin said "We will crush the rebels with one swift stroke" really means we will destroy their base number 32 out of 61 today.

The old EU had the rebels have numerous smaller outposts, so I don't see it as too far fetched. They can just say Yavin was the biggest, and that it housed the leadership and most of their equipment.

Depends on what they do.

Fans turned on Lucas after making terrible prequel films, tampering with parts of the original trilogy that didn't need tampering, not releasing DVDs of the untampered original trilogy, and being repeatedly caught in lies about how the unpopular changes were always part of his vision or that the story for the entire saga was planned from the beginning, rather than made up as he went along.

I think the last one more than anything else tended to annoy people,, because it was so obvious that he was lying. There were old copies of scripts and interviews with people who worked on the films that contradicted him. It gave the impression that he treated his own fans like they were stupid, so they turned on him.

The old EU was never canon like the movie were, though. It was a separate thing. The movie, and even the ttle crawl says it flat out. the rebels have 1 base. "Striking from their hidden rebel base" etc. Not bases. Base.

Still. One would think their biggest base would have B-wings. the sheer firepower of those things would have done wonders on the turrets on the death star.

Rule has always been that the movies can go against the EU and the EU can not go against the movies.

That's ... pretty stupid...I guess if you go Sith, all your midichlorians turn red, and their force aura affects the crystal and ... ahem...I'll take a short break to swallow this pile of Bantha-shite

Nah, I have to follow this through now...so if you are no Jedi it's white, as a Sith red. What means blue and green then? Both are aligned with the Order, but with a green blade it means you are not eating meat and fly a hybrid-speeder? Qui-Gon looked a bit like a hippie, it's true...well, he looked more like Master Lebowski or a hobo actually, but anyway...and blue, what are blue Jedi? And why did Sam L. Jackson have a pink one? Does it mean he was "in the closet" with something? And when will we actually see yellow sabers on screen, and what will it mean

I am aware the EU and all that isn't canon anymore but ... why discard things from that willingly? *Sigh* Another stupid thing to be simply ignored, I am glad in Old Republic all that matters for tehe blade is: How cool does it look?

Now we have "everything is canon". Every new book, comic, the cartoon shows, and the movies. The cartoons already contradict the movies plenty, and Disney made those canon first.

Yeah and Luke has a blue lightsaber in ep 4 and 5. And yellow (I think it was) in ep 6. I guess his mood changed?

Ohh and the cave on Dagobah is now an ancient sith temple (if I understood it correctly). It has tiles on the floor and whatever else.

Luke's lightsaber was green in Return of the Jedi.

I believe he also had green throughout the EU.

Being semi-colourblind I can't tell light-green from Yellow :) Makes for a fun experience when games have puzzles involving colours.

Because the green is the one he made himself.

The blue one was old Vader's lightsaber.

This makes absolutely no sense. It contradicts not only the EU, but also previous movies.

Not only Anakin's lightsaber was still blue after he turned Sith, Luke used Anakin's old blue lightsaber, and in Episode 6 he made his own, which was green. If green was his "alignment" color, old Vader's saber should change color to green when Luke took it from Obi-Wan.

Anakin also uses a green saber in second part of Attack of the Clones, instead of his usual blue one.

Obi-Wan defeats Darth Maul with Qui-Gon's green saber.

Anakin kills Darth Tyrannus (Dooku) with both Sith's crimson saber and his own, blue.

Is there a source on this?

SW Rebels. Ashoka has a white lightsaber now. And Filoni (the show writer) explained it was because the colour changed when she wasn't affiliated with the jedi order any more.

This was awhile back, though. It could be they have changed the explanation later. They seem a bit back and forth with the cartoons.

Heck Han uses Luke's lightsaber in ESB (to cut open the tauntaun and it didn't change color then either.

This can always just mean that she changed the crystal.

At least I'm hoping it does, because the other interpretation sounds extremely stupid.
