Or maybe it was a typo or he wasn't that wise...
woooooooh Blake's 7.

They need to remember what made people so upset about the prequels
Easy enough: Just don't make a movie primarily with kids as viewers in mind, and not based solely on the toy-line accompanying it. Try to tell a classic adventure-story that would work as well with knights or cowboys, and give us dark and light, not modern grey. We have already have fifteen different shades of boring grey nowadays. Just give us light and dark, good and evil. Leave the grey stuff to oh so adult and grown up movies made by Nolan or whatever...

So in other words be like the originals. How boring.

With the exception that the Originals, at least A New Hope, was made with younger/kid audiences in mind...

SW Rebels update. Vader got beaten twice by Aladdin and his merry friends in season 2 ep 1. He managed to shoot down some A-wings, but still...They are turning Vader into a parody now.

Disney is turning SW as a whole into one big joke.

They shouldn't have made the cartoons canon. Simple as that.

Indeed. Lightsabers powered by ...feelings?
Disney ...WHY!?!?

Disney ...WHY!?!?
Their droid has feelings too. He gets jealous of another droid and pushes it off the ship. The droid then falls....I dunno...from the atmosphere and lands on the ground. Undamaged it gets up and makes friends with some cats (this actually happened in the show). So since their droid has feelings is a sentient being. And that means it should be able to use the force. Technically.

I have a pretty strong disdain for post '06 Disney. This just further solidifies it.

I think you need living body to use the Force. As far as I remember (at least in EU I think), Vader's power and control of the Force actually decreased after he became half mechanical. That's part of the reason why the Emperor wanted Luke to succeed Vader (Vader failed Emperor's hope when it came to his power, after Obi-Wan cut him to pieces.
Plus, in prequels there was this whole midichlorians nonsense (we may pretend it didn't happen, but it happened) that states that living cells need to exist, in order to touch the Force.
Of course now there's no lore, because everything is non-canon it would seem.

1. Yeah, Chopper is actually rather homicidal towards other droids and I think he did succeed once or twice with his attempts. It's a bit of a running joke with the fandom. Personally, I find it amusing as dark humor.
2. People were speculating whether or not it would run out of energy and be abandoned, pretty much dead, since it was doubtful it could reach anyplace Imperial from where it landed. It is, of course, possibly someone might find and salvage it. Did we actually see loth-cats befriend it? I thought it just wound up where they were and we did not see them try and eat.

So you do not consider the Original Trilogy to have any grey shades to it?
Adding shades of grey to a story, if handled well, more likely means that the story is handled more mature especially in regards to it's themes. It does not nencessary mean the story becomes more dark or even on par with the Nolan films in terms of darkness.

Ugh, midichlorians... How you were not needed as an explaination and how glad I am you are rarely mentioned.

Seems they made friends, yes.

About what? Mickey is ****** it up at every turn.
I am very very optimistic about the new trilogy, though. It will be mindblowing to see the old cast again.
