With the exception that the Originals, at least A New Hope, was made with younger/kid audiences in mind...

 

 

Indeed, but without the urge to put in kids simply to do so...and with 30 years I feel still like part of the younger audience ...don't take that away from me please..

 

SW Rebels update. Vader got beaten twice by Aladdin and his merry friends in season 2 ep 1. He managed to shoot down some A-wings, but still...They are turning Vader into a parody now.

 

Rebels is nothing else than Terrorist-Propaganda anyway. Who believes anything happening in that series also believes Teddybears were able to beat the imperial army, or that three measly A-Wings were enough to destroy the coolest space-ship ever. Propaganda, nothing else.

 

So you do not consider the Original Trilogy to have any grey shades to it?

 

Adding shades of grey to a story, if handled well, more likely means that the story is handled more mature especially in regards to it's themes. It does not nencessary mean the story becomes more dark or even on par with the Nolan films in terms of darkness.

 

Not sure...they never showed us what Han and Leia did when they were alone, you know....though I guess there is a lot of fan-fiction written about that. Laser-handcuffs, vibro-cane...

Ah, another poor soul clouded by the lies and disinformation of the so-called freedom-fighters of teh Rebel Alliance...I mean, really, everyone should know by now and accept the fact that the so-called Star wars movies and the like are a bunch of propaganda. Like as if the so-called "Death Star" had been designed as a so-called "superweapon"...laughable.

 

It was of course a superior mining-laser meant to be used in panetoid-mining-operations. Only when a rebel-strike-force infiltrated the so-called "Death Star" they used it to destroy the planet of Alderaan! An atrocity they had the nerves to blame on the Empire, the rightful galactic government and protector of indiviual rights and freedom of every living being in the galaxy!

 

And even worse, the so-called "Rebel-Alliance" dared to befoul the noble sacrifice of Emperor Palpatine, who gave his own life by blowing up the second "Death Star" with himself on board before the Rebel-terrorists could capture it as well, and use it to wreak havoc among the stars!

 

Open your eyes, your souls and hearts to the truth people! George Lucas is a terrorist-puppet! He lied to you! LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!

Maybe...but one thing is clear: That First Order and their supreme leader Snorkydork are doomed if they do not have these kind of bada$$ muthafuckas from Galactic Britain! And this time they WILL intensify the forward batteries in time- and NOTHING WILL GET THROUGH! (and maybe stop building their little deflector shields so exposed and flimsy some A-Wing-Blaster-Shots can crack 'em...)

So I've finished watching "The Siege of Lothal" and I have to disagree with you utterly. Darth Vader is playing the Chessmaster trope and he is playing it masterfully by being a step ahead of the rebels constantly. They never defeated him, they only escaped him and by the end of it, that was the only win they had and it seemed very small in comparison to all they lost this episode. 

 

During the first time, Darth Vader was dominating the fight with no effort in deflecting Kanan and enarly killing Ezra. He had no intention of preventing the ship from taking off which was why he focused on those two rather than the rest of the crew near the ship. The only reason the Ghost crew escaped with everyone was because they stopped burning walkers on him and that did not hurt him, only momentarily distracted him long enough for the crew to board the ship. If he made an attempt to kill them now, he'd have jeopardize his own plan of using a tracking device to locate the command ship of the rebel forces near Lothal. They did not defeat him, they escaped him and he intended for them to do so.

 

During the second time, Darth Vader was dominating the fight by pretty much decimating the rebel forces near Lothal's attack ships and ultimately  their command ship. He would likely have succeeded in killing most if not all of them if he had not detected Ahsoka's presence and decided to instead capture them because he wanted her alive. By then, he was going after the Ghost only because she was on it rather than focus on taking care of the escape pods. They escaped by going to hyperspace.

 

The final result? The rebel forces near Lothal has lost just about all of their ships by the exception of the Ghost, a lot of rebels are likely dead including their experienced fighter pilots and Darth Vader now knows that Ahsoka Tanno is amongst the surviving rebels and due to his personal knowledge of her, can exploit that. All in all, the rebels had no win except for their lives and some do not even have that.

I heard it had something to do with the original Star Wars movies doing a lot of their filming on London sound stages.  Thus their extras were primarily British.

The Star Wars game that Visceral is working on may very well be Star Wars 1313 or a reimagining of it. When we last saw Star Wars 1313 it was noted to have been very Uncharted-like; Nolan North has claimed to know a bit about the new game and has made the claim of it being like Uncharted. Another thing that I'd like to point out, although circumstantial, is the fact that Star Wars 1313 was going to be the first 'M' Rated Star Wars game and that Visceral makes 'M' Rated games such as Dead Space and Dante's Inferno. Regardless, this is the real first piece of information the public has received about Visceral's Star Wars game.
