No. Of course, George Lucas had nothing to do any of the EU, outside of his needless meddling.

Anyone else remember when Lucas stated that The Forced Unleashed was the real explanation for the founding of the Rebellion?

No? Just me?

I know you weren't being serious with that, but I always like bringing up this point.

Force Unleashed 1 was okay.

I try to forget the second one.

I do believe that would fall under "needless meddling."

I couldn't. I tried watching it starting from the first season, and couldn't get past episode three.
I heard the later seasons got more mature, so I went to season four. I couldn't make it fifteen minutes.

If you found the Vong boring, then it's your own fault. Chewbacca died to show that characters weren't safe anymore, as we saw again with Ganner, Anakin, and Tahiri to an extent.

No, the biggest problem with that series was George Lucas forcing Vergere into having been a Sith. It's all downhill from there.

lol You didn't really give the show a chance. The show improves over time. By Season 6, it's spectacular. Again, 15 minutes ain't much.

Also, no, the Vong being boring is the fault of the people who wrote the series. They wrote villains that looked goofy and didn't have any presence to them. Chewbacca died to garner attention in the end and make it GRIMDARK. That's it. Luke, Han, Leia, Lando, and all the other major OT characters survived, as expected. Again, biggest problem with Legacy of the Force was the people writing it. I would bring up the fact that Darth Caedus is a boring villain, but that's just a symptom of the fact the writers.

And can we actually discuss Episode 7 again? We're going off-topic.

The people working on this film seem to really like Game of Thrones.

I tried. I can't. The Mon Calamari events made me almost punch a whole though my computer.

Most people I know don't find them boring.

I made a post two weeks ago about how I wanted Thrawn and the Vong to remain in the official canon. You're the one who seemed to have a problem with that.

Ah I misread your post the first time.

Oh well.

There was also that Darth Maul game that was never released (probably a good thing) because Lucas kept changing things.

Game Informer did an article about it. It was going to be the original The Forced Unleashed (with less overpowered protagonist), but then Lucas came in and wanted to add in a dead female sith (300 years before Maul) into the game. He wanted them it to be some sort of "buddy cop" esque co-op game.

The dev team had to start over from scratch, and then LucasArts stopped funding the project for TFU (or something like that).

The second one was the worst though.

"Well it's the second game so let's give him TWO lightsabers! It worked so well for AC2 that it's bound to work here!".

Dude, I read the entire NJO and Legacy of the Force series and I hated it.

Also, who's most people? LOL Have you met every Star Wars fan? Because most fans I've met really didn't like the series.

And my reply to your initial post was the idea of the Vong still being in the official canon.

By the way, I'm not sure why we haven't brought this up yet:

Harrison Ford has recovered from his injury.

It's almost like having a 70 year old man do action scenes was a bad idea or something.

To be fair, out of all the original cast, Harrison Ford was the one I'd consider least likely to get injured.

If only Lucas had sold the franchise 10 years ago, we could have many great movies, not just clone wars series.

I like the Thrawn trilogy but the actors are WAY too old for that

I'm honestly not sure if I should be excited because it's more Star Wars or worried. I suppose it can't be any worse than Episode II right?

Ep. V > Ep. III > Ep. IV > Ep.II > Ep. VI > Ep. I

(Just 1 man's Opinion)

Personally, Episode II is my favorite of the prequels. Sure, most of the movie was pretty boring, but the battle on Geonosis was probably the most interesting thing the prequels had to offer.

How?

How is it possible to feel any excitement when you just don't care about either side of the battle?

It's just me, but all those battle scenes are just really boring.
