J.J just needs Star Wars to have that sense of fun and wonder that the trilogies had. I do hope that he has his own take on the Star Wars universe rather than just imitating Lucas' style, but I'm not sure about that....

It's Star Wars, "may" is one of the most appropriate words to use with anything Star Wars related. He finished recording something this I know, but I am not going to say that he did or did not record something for Star Wars when I don't know for a fact, the last thing I want to do is spread misinformation and confuse people.

I hope it's a decent sized teaser trailer and not just some 'Hey look, a new Star Wars is coming out' one where they show almost nothing..

It takes a while to get everything together after filming is done, especially on a big project like this one. Look at the timeline for Avengers 2 for example.

That would be useful to an extent, we could speculate or know what ships are in the film.

I'm okay with this. I just don't want a trailer that gives us nothing to speculate about or withholds to much, the Star Wars Community needs more to discuss and speculate.

A lot of sources of both questionable and good quality are saying that we'll get a Star Wars 7 trailer this week.

 

An anonymous poster on reddit states that it will be shown during screenings of Disney's Big Hero 6.

This information conflicts with what I posted earlier, however both suggest that a trailer will be shown this year and I believe that is the grain of truth in these rumors.

I should have clarified that reddit wasn't the source of us getting the Star Wars 7 trailer this week, I just linked it because it suggested a specific film that the trailer could be shown with.

I appreciate the post, as I am unable to keep tabs on every rumor... but all the lies annoy me. We are likely NOT getting a trailer in 2014 IMHO. Sadly...

Yeah, there are a lot of B.S. rumors, I try to not bring up the extremely ridiculous ones, I do occasionally mention the ridiculous one, but that's because sometimes you can pull out a small bit of truth from rumors.
