That lightsaber design is... interesting.

 

I'm extremely disappointed they didn't show at least a glimpse of Mark Hamill rocking the Master Jedi look.

It was cool... Well, I expected more, but, hey! it's just a Teaser... Also, agree with OdanUrr, the lightsaber design is indeed interesting. I'm eager to see how it works... Maybe like a Triple Hilt Lightsaber?? O.o

The trailer is here and I am pretty disappointed, I honestly thought it was fake at first and remain somewhat unsure as to whether or not it is real, but it does match the leaked concept art:

Because based upon the lightsaber in the trailer it turns out that this picture is likely real:
You'd cut something off just trying to handle such a lightsaber, terrible design is terrible. Also the villain looks like a Revan wannabe

I liked the Mega64 version more.

In theory the design is to mimic a Broadsword. But there's several different lightsaber resistant metals you could use for that guard instead of making something more dangerous to the user.

In fact Cortosis shorts out Lightsabers. So it'd be ideal for a guard.

The scene with the X-wings looked cool, but everything else feels off,most of the other scenes looked like a fan made production especially the part with the Sith in the forest.

Oh God. I hope we have actual lightsaber combat in this movie, not just a coreography...

 

LIke those in SW:TOR Cinematic Trailers. That would be cool.

Eh, that was kinda lame. I mean, the only cool part was the Millenium Falcon I guess. The Jedi thing is overdone big time, the prequels went all out with the Jedi stuff, and it looks like this film is having the same pitfall. Meh.

For the prequels, it made sense It showed the Jedi in their prime. I enjoyed the trailer, though I don't like the lightsaber design.

I went into the trailer thinking it was probably a prank, when the trooper popped up in such a comedic way I was like called it! Then I realized who it was. Then it was followed by soccer ball droid, & I felt like I was being trolled again. Like someone had spliced their own footage in stolen scenes, which would be the next evolution of stolen movie footage trolling. But wow, the rest of it was exciting!

The Falcon fighting TIE fighters, was easily the best part of the trailer.

The lightsabers look ridiculous -- Although, I shouldn't speak too lightly, since LucasArts has managed to make plenty of equally awkward-looking saberhilts in Star Wars games the past few years. Some of the shots were a bit awkwardly filmed, to a point I thought I was watching a spoof trailer, where the subtitle doesn't help either.

 

Other than that it looks promising.

Well as long as the combat actually look authentic, like they are actually engaging each other, as opposed to the overly choreographed flailing of the prequels then I suppose it'll do.
