Some of those posts come off as obvious bait.
Oddly enough, it makes me wonder how Lando was received in 1980.
In a similar way, unfortunately

The discussion about the Stormtroopers is moot, the Empire is not using clones anymore since before Episode IV. Here's the video with Pablo Hidalgo (the guy responsible for curating the SW lore) talking about it on 2:50.
I wanna take Andi Gutierrez out for a cappucino..

There is also this from Rebels, where the whole focus of the episode is infiltrating an Imperial Academy where people are trained for combat:![]()

Some people think one of those kids is the very same Trooper from the trailer. Be interesting if Rebels had actually setup a backstory for upcoming film characters.
Uh... No. There is too much time between. Not likely

Yeah, Rebels is set 5 years before Episode IV and Episode VII is set 30 years after the Battle of Yavin.
Definitely timing is off by far, it's a weirder theory than Snip's voice actor having been given an uncredited role on an earlier episode.
I could only see them being the same if he was part of a elite group that gets put in stasis between use or something. That would probably be new for Star Wars?
Maybe his son decided to follow in his father's footsteps and is the stormtrooper from the Star Wars 7 trailer? Star Wars is big on the whole family thing and I remember reading comments that Rebels might connect with Episode 7 in some way.
It's a big galaxy guys...
why dont jedis and sith just use teh force to press the off button on each other's lightsaber

They can't. Every lightsaber also has a force connection to his/her wielder.

Also, most of the ignition switches are depression-activated; as in anyone trying to use a force motion to manipulate it would have to overpower not only their finger's strength, but also the power of their force push against it. Might as well focus all that energy into your blade strikes.
Just when I thought that Lightsaber couldn't get worse.
This has nothing to do with Episode VII, but thought it was pretty cool nonetheless.
George Lucas Cut
Let's overdo everything!
lol @ dat lightsaber
The voice in the trailer belongs to Andy Serkis, I feel like this pretty much confirms Serkis as a bad guy in the film. Since Serkis does a lot of mo-cap CGI characters, I expect the Villain might be an alien or a horribly deformed cyborg.

Andy Serkis is not winning an Oscar/Academy Award for this film.

Some of the plot details, if legit, actually sound interesting. I'll keep giving the movie the benefit of the doubt, even though some things in the trailer still annoy me.
I still can't get over that lightsaber design. Didn't like the Millennium Falcon sequence too. Those camera angles. Some of the plot details, if legit, actually sound interesting. I'll keep giving the movie the benefit of the doubt, even though some things in the trailer still annoy me.
Seriously, a Stormtrooper being black has peoples' jimmies rustled?
F*** that lightsaber, though.
