Revenge of the Sith is the darkest and 2nd best Star Wars film ever 2nd only to ESB. It was brilliantly written

I'd like to contest that "brilliantly written" part. A conflicted Jedi that rebels against a Jedi Master intending to kill a confirmed Sith Lord who just killed a couple other Jedi because it is not just, suddenly turns into a child-murdering "yes, my master" pawn/Sith apprentice because the scheming Sith Master essentially says "with more power you can save your wife" ... and then he strangles his wife, because apparently saving her isn't really that important at all!?

Brilliantly written, it is not.

This looks like Jack Black. The Hell?

Also, They should've replaced that droid with the Soccer Bot from Episode VII

I think it's tragic and gripping.

It's the "best" of the prequels but that's not saying much. And it is nowhere near being better or even as good as ANH or ROTJ.

Really, I enjoyed The Clone Wars series far more than the terrible prequels it's based on.

Keep in mind J.J. & Lawrence Kasdan are writing this film, with Lucas in the BACK SEAT as an adviser. They are well aware that the prequels cut many people deep & also that Disney is a notorious cheez factory (Frozen). We must give these people a chance. ONE chance to redeem the film series which has so much potential and has changed sci-fi film-making for the better.

J.J. is a fan of the Original Trilogy, after all. He wants to honor it and continue the legacy of Luke Skywalker while giving us a whole new generation to route for....

I hope.

To route for?

So I guess he wants us to run away in terror from the movies?

The Force will awaken!

More Speculations follow

Spoiler

Andy Serkis is not winning an Oscar/Academy Award for this film.

Personally Revenge of the Sith is easily better than A new hope and Return of the Jedi.

Story wise? Maybe. Acting wise? No.

Eh.... I felt it was deeper than both movies and all the movies have their moments in terms of acting.

Who are you calling kid? Seriously what is wrong with admitting that enjoy the prequels?

I don't feel like getting into this discussion right now so I'm gonna chalk it up to personal opinion.

One of the things I liked about EP3 was how dark and unnerving it was. In 2005, I was depressed seeing my favorite Saturday morning cartoon series ending on a dark note. It set mood up for one to fully appreciate Episode 4 (yes, I watched the trilogy chronologically) and just how much "A New Hope" was needed in the story. The writing wasn't perfect but it worked for me at the time.

Above all, the Clone Wars was the best thing the prequels ever produced.

I think he was referring to the kids of today, not the kids of the prequels...

The 2008-2013 series is canon.

The 2003-2005 series is not.

But it's still pretty cool.

I wish they hadn't made Grievous such a wuss in the 2008-2013 series, he was so awesome in the 2003-2005 series and in Labyrinth of Evil. Despite that, I love both series dearly, I just wanted to make that comment.

Agreed, that scene made me a fan of Grevious.
