Not really, it´s just after Alien 3 I decided to not to take movies too seriously. Added book sagas after the way Dragonlance evolved, the SW EU itself (after Denning took charge, good thing it´s no longer canon), and ME3 reminded me to include videogames.
Anyway, I tend to expect the worst but allow myself to be pleasantly surprised.

No one mentioned that? I think that he might being playing a small droid, like an astromech, to mirror how Kenny Baker used to play R2-D2. There exists some leaked concept art of an astromech looking droid next to Daisy's character and an alien.
While it is not necessary to have an actor for such a character these days, I can see Warwick doing that because he loves Star Wars and wanted a role in the film, it would also back up J.J.'s stance of less CGI and more props.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
