Hmmm... Luke? Or someone else like Kylo Ren?

It's got to be Luke, who else would have that kind of reaction to a droid that we don't know about? Then again I'm not sure who Kylo Ren is.

"First Order"

 vs

the "Resistance"

Beats the hell outta "Evil Trade Federation" or "Confederacy of Independent Systems" or "Meesa no have-a-Boom-a"

And speaking of villains, guess who's back?

Kylo Ren is Han Solo and Leia's son and first born. Daisy is his sister.

The Skywalker's are cursed. They are the single most important and influential family in the SW saga, but with being such extremely force sensitive and Anakin literally being made from the midi-chlorians, I believe they are very, very susceptible to the Dark Force. I think Ren's backstory was that he was "killed in action" but really left for dead on some kind of mission for the Alliance, but he didn't die. Instead he waited, studied and learned the Dark Side. And now..... He feels that his time to strike, literally at the heart of the alliance- The Skywalker's.

I think Luke will be killed at the end of Force Awakens, by his nephew, Kylo Ren.

Nobody is. Not even him.

I suspect this will be a large chunk of the plot, Ren is discovering force abilities while simultaneously realizing he may not have a traditional Sith "master"

Of course, this is assuming: 1. He has more than one motive, i.e. a multi-dimensional character. A person who is willing and able to do awful things, which he views as a price to reach ...certain ends. 2. This new "First Order" may seem superficially akin to the Galactic Empire of a generation ago, but when examined closely is more like the rebel alliance; fractured, scattered and missing "true" Sith leadership

Indeed. I don't think it's the same audio, but Mark Hamill speaking the lines for either the film or specifically the trailer. He says "you have that power too" a bit differently. Also, his voice seems a bit more ...gravely

There will be flashback scenes in the movie. With a young Luke listed in the character list.

We have plenty of callbacks to Ep. 4 - 6

Ren is a Skywalker, he's Solo and Leia's first born. He has been consumed by the Dark Side, hate and fear. He feels that his family- The Skywalkers, have abandoned him and now he is position to cause mass chaos and death to the Alliance, and most importantly the Skywalkers.

Star Wars is, and always will be, about the SkyWalkers. This is and idea that you might want to double down on:

The main protagonist of Star Wars is always a Skywalker.

As is the main Antagonist of Star Wars is always a Skywalker.

Maul, Dooku, and even Sidious were just a conduit for the true villain... .Dark Vader.

Luke was the main protagonist and the one that truly brought "balance" to the force. When he defeated his father (main villain) in ROTJ.

A Skywalker is always the villain. And a Skywalker is always the main protagonists. (And the prequels did literally both in one film (Revenge of the Sith) lol, in which you see the main Protagonists and good guy, become the main villain and antagonist before your very eyes (very cool I thought).

And it takes a Skywalker to defeat a Skywalker.

Rin is a Skywalker, that much I am sure of. I think Han and Leia's son, but I could be wrong. It could be Luke's son. But Rin is a Skywalker, I have no doubt.

*hence the mask. They don't wan the audience to know what he looks like, but.... Also they don't want to reveal is face to the characters. Just like Vader*

Agreed. It's either one or the other, but he is a Skywalker and a direct descendant from Anakin. I'm sure of it.

Eh. I don't mind either way. The universe would've felt small if it were indeed Tatooine. Although on the other hand, it would've been nice if the planet Jaaku wasn't another desert one.

The way they're setting it up with Luke and stuff and him being very mysterious and kinda Wizard like (Very much like Obi-wan in a New Hope) tells me that he "dies" at the end of Force Awakens.

*Luke can't really die, he's incredibly force powerful and will most likely go the way of Yoda, Kenobi, his father and Qui-gon, he will transcend the physical sphere and become a force spirit. But he will be dead physically at the end of Force Awakens.

I know this is kinda off topic, but I don't know if this has been addressed I assume there is going to be light saber fights some where in the film. Is it safe to assume that there going with the original trilogy style of fighting were it was a lot slower then the prequels? On the basis that the Jedi are not in the prime.

There will be one big, and fantastic fight between Ren and Luke at the end, in which Luke falls and is vanquished by Ren. Ushering in the beginning of the New Sith Order and potential destruction of the Alliance.

The whole, "they were slower" type of thing was because of Luke and stuff in ep 4 and 5. Now in ROTJ, I'd argue that Luke, especially when he went into a force rage, could have defeated any Jedi (with the exception of maybe Yoda, Anakin, or young Obi Wan or Mace), he literally beat the sh!t outta on of the greatest duelists (Vader) in the history of the Sith Order.

I think Ren and Luke's fight at the end will be brutal, fast and violent. But it will be spectacular.
