Is that a Space Balls reference? I can't tell my eyesight is crap, but those look a little like the Space Balls version of Stormtroopers.Oh Abrams. You funny.

Wow, my eyesight is terribad. It looked like they were carrying the grill to an old Ford truck to me lol.Yes:
Some interesting information.
The Empire has fallen. It is now a time for resurgence. It is a time for new beginnings. This September, Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm are excited to present the newest chapter of the Star Wars mythos with Star Wars: Journey to The Force Awakens – Shattered Empire written by comic book legend, Greg Rucka (Cyclops) with art by Marco Checchetto (Avengers World).
Created in close partnership with Lucasfilm, this new Marvel Comics limited series will exist as part of the canon for the Star Wars universe and will offer a glimpse into December’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
“The world has been wondering what happened after the fall of the Empire since the credits first rolled on ‘Return of the Jedi’ in 1983,” says series editor Jordan D. White. “Now, on the dawn of the next chapter of the saga, we’re incredibly proud to be involved in revealing the events that happen immediately following the end of ‘Return of the Jedi’!”
Once again, Marvel brings the biggest creators in the industry to the biggest characters in a galaxy far, far away. Be there when the Star Wars line expands this September in Star Wars: Journey to the Force Awakens – Shattered Empire #1!

Soooo.... is this along the lines of the Second Imperium? Gimmie Thrawn! Please please please!
Not sure if I like the entirety of the SW EU being declared non canon........I liked bits and pieces of it.
The PT has burned me SO MUCH! I want to feel the Star Wars love again, but I'm SO AFRAID of....seeing another Phantom, or bad acting of ROTS
Indeed.
One of my favorite arcs in the entirety of the series is the Season 6 finale with Yoda. That was excellently done.
The one where the cave on Dagobah is suddenly a temple? It was like the show writers just hadn't seen The Empire Strikes Back....
Nothing excellent about glaring continuity errors.

That is actually not in the trailer at all. Its an online prank someone did.
Second Imperium you say??
Interesting...
Kyle Katarn and his gang almost destroyed the imperial remnants in JK games. How could JJ Abrams make three badasss movies with the fact of excluding Katarn, but using the plot Katarn made?
I don't know... it's silly now...
I just cannot take "Savage Oppress" seriously...
Pronounced Sah-vahg.
It's the french version!
It doesn't matter. It's a contradiction... for humor sake?
Anyone hyped enough to dust off Star Wars..things...in general. Within hours of the trailer I found my copy of Vector Prime and started re reading it.
Maybe I will actually finish the series this time. ![]()
The New Jedi Order series was actually quite good. I remember reading them 10 years ago (give or take).

I'm calling it right now. Remote control BB-8s will be the hottest toy of the 2015 Christmas Season.

You should read more of my posts then. I dish out praise all the time.

I have to say I'm still really not sure about Episode 7 and the trailers haven't made me feel excited at all. I loved the EU, especially the character of Mara Jade and I'm devastated she's no longer regarded as canon. A small part of me was hoping she'd be a part of the new movies until Lucasfilm announced that everything apart from the 2008 Clone Wars series and Rebels was non-canon. I'll be the first one to admit that the EU did have problems (the Legacy series -sheesh!) but overall I loved it and I'm really nervous about the Force Awakens. Regardless, I really liked what JJ Abrams did with Star Trek and I'm confident he'll do great with Star Wars too, I'll reserve final judgement until I see it.

Agreed about the EU, there was such a wealth of awesome in the EU and it was really well done. I am more miffed that we will not see Jaina and the Vong onscreen because of this descision, but then again maybe we will see some version of them. The trailer and tidbits of plot that we have gotten seems to point to they will borrow quite liberally from the EU...so...who knows.
On the other hand though the trailer has me really pumped. I was huge into Star Wars when I was younger but really fell out of it and still have trepidations about trying to rewatch the original trilogy with all the changes, or the prequels since, they were a mixed bag at times. But...this got me pumped. JJ breathed new life into one franchise I barely cared about and lets see if he can resurrect an old favorite.
Oh Abrams. You funny.
That almost, almost, almost redeems this movie for me. Still may not go see it though.

*skeptical face*
I forgot how much I loved Spaceballs... I really hope they don't reboot that.
You just can't recapture the magic of RIck Moranis's Dark Helmet.

Rebels Season 2 trailer!
Great. Now they will ruin Vader too. Watching Vader fail at killing Aladdin and his blue monkey, will do so much for his character.
