I think that they could exit through the other engine, wouldn't both engines have a certain meeting point inside the ship?

Han getting frozen in carbonite again, or an old Carrie Fisher making out with an even older Harrison Ford?

To be fair, they didn't know it was a worm. From their perspective they were hiding in an asteroid's cave/tunnel/crater, it just so happened that a giant space worm was also hiding in there.

Or did I miss some expanded universe stuff were he intentionally flies into a worm knowing it is one?

As much as I loathe anything that is J J. Abrams, I enjoyed Empire and immensely and Lawrence Kasdan is supposedly onboard for this one as well -- Though it should be noted that Kasdan hasn't done anything decent since Empire & Raiders, and you can't win 'em all. Heck, it's probably Kasdan's involvement and a few other familiar faces that intrigues me enough to look out for Force Awakens.

I'm sure millions of people have already said it, but the bad dude looks like Revan.

Hopefully the bad guy will bring something new to the good guys' current understanding of the force (Revan would be ideal to do that). So that they leave their mark, a sort of legacy, after the good guys kill them. The movie is called the force awakens. Maybe he had a 3000 years long nap.

Yep, my very first thought as well, as many others. I woould love to think thatthe designers working on SW7 are jsut as much fans of Kotor as we "normal" people are, and they made this Revan-hommage. Though if Revan would get mentioned in the movie at some place? Guess hardcore fans would grin like idiots in the cinema. :D

But I also hope they ... kinda work on the whole Sith/Jedi-thing a bit, and maybe even wipe out a little of Lucas' weirder ideas....I never liked this whole celibacy-idiocy, kids getting taken away from families never to see them again, surpress your emotions etc. I tend to believe it was this behaviour that ruined the Jedi though. Luke should try rebuild the Jedi through the new series and get rid of this stuff ...and in contrast to an earlier post of mine: I still kinda wet-dream about a scene similar to Old Republic's "deceived-trailer" - with dozens of Force-Users fighting it off...this on the big movie screen? Guess I could die of a heart-attack then

AND NO MORE MIDICHLORIAN-COUNTS!

Solo didn't know it was a worm when he flew into it, though. He got lucky with that one.

This happened in the books...   which have been destroyed by orbital bombardment

Luke and Kyle rebuilt the order... then J.J.Abrams performed exterminatus on the Jedi Order and went into denial of its existence.

Unfortunately the cannon purge didn't get rid of a bunch of ridiculous things it should have, like substantial portions of the Clone Wars cartoons. And we lost Thrawn. Still, for the most part, the purge was for the best.

True, but it would make sense for the Jedi to be rebuilt by Luke. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that is one concept from the EU that makes it into the movies.

That was kind of the point of the PT, that the Jedi were really disconnected from real living and that´s why they lost. If QGJ had trained Anakin, he´d likely have adapted his teachings to the way Anakin´s personality evolved. However he was trained by a by-the-book guy and resulted in an emotions timed bomb. The Jedi also lack knowledge Yoda and OB1 show later, when Luke feels Han´s pain they know inmediately Han and Leia are in trouble. Anakin is having worrying dreams about Shmi for weeks and OB tells him they are likely just dreams, because they don´t understand how emotions tie to the Force. Also Anakin´s vision of Padmé dying, Luke in the cave saw where his hate would take him, Anakin probably was getting told how his fear of losing Padmé would go, and took it the wrong way because Yoda didn´t know and didn´t care (people die, rejoice they join the Force! Kill yourself if dying before old age is so great, fricking frog. Letting go is for when reasonable actions have failed, otherwise it´s just giving up - this last also shows in TCW, so it´s likely intentional).

I´d like to know more about midi counts though. If Anakin is twice the Emperor and is 20000, a weak Jedi is what, 100? The potential power/count graphic must be something to see. I doubt it is a straight line. Probably closer to Rincewind´s lifeclock.

Unfortunately the cannon purge didn't get rid of a bunch of ridiculous things it should have, like substantial portions of the Clone Wars cartoons. And we lost Thrawn. Still, for the most part, the purge was for the best.

Nothing in the cartoons was as stupid as a guy looking art and knowing military thinking. Because artists and warriors are so intertwined in ALL cultures in SW. Not to mention the mother of idiot balls with the noghri (about nogri, they show if ewoks had been ugly nobody would be bashing them), how Thrawn is so much better than Vader because he explains things before killing subordinates who fail. And is polite.  My favorite from Zahn though was Leia apologizing to Mara (who takes bad character judging to epic levels with her opinion of Palpatine) because killing the Emperor ruined her life. WTF?

Anyway, Denning, Traviss and Allston  ruined the big 3 EU many years ago. This was a mercy killing.

The Jedi are allowed to have sex, they're just not allowed to marry.
