That is the Genius of it all. That's the reason why they destroyed the EU in the first place. They can (and will) borrow from Salvatore and Luceno, change the names or a few details, and shrug their shoulders. Despite some characters being obvious rip-offs Disney now has the legal privilege to say "she just HAPPENS to be a Redhead Milf force-sensitive with a crush on Luke. She isn't Mara Jade."

Lack of creativity makes me a little concern for Star Wars under Disney. Rebels, outside of the last few episodes was just average for me.

Anyway, I also have been wondering if Kylo's mask just has eyeholes or some type of visor over his eyes...?

I would imagine it would be a visor that grants him some perks like night vision, scanning etc.

I don't like Anakin. He's coarse and rough and irritating and he gets everywhere.

So how does it feel to be the social equivalent of sand?

Sigh.

The dialogue in the final fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin is so bad.

"From my point of view the Jedi are evil!"

"You murdered defenseless kids and choked out your wife you goddamn moron!"

"Yeah, but like, the creepy old man said I could save her by doing this."

"Bang up job you did there!"

Is it any better than the OT duels. "Your powers are weak old man!"

George Lucas could never write dialogue to save his life ever.

But it was less noticeable then.

The prequels were a letdown overall. No doubt about this.

They get more hate than they deserve, however. If you are honest with yourself and go back & watch the original trilogy, there are several cringeworthy lines. Remember, Lucas wrote and directed ep. 4 also

Sure. But there's also the matter of tone.

OT is alot lighter in tone than the PT. Even with how dark Empire got.

Cheesier lines fit the setting.

Half the lines in PT are so out of place and overly written they don't suit the movies with child murder.

Lucas is a horrible writer. He always was, that's about the end of it really.

I think there was a point where Harrison Ford complained (jokingly) about how terrible the dialogue was on set.

As for the dialogue itself, it's interesting how endearing it became up to this point in 2015.

I believe the quote was.

"George, you can write this sh*t but you can't say this sh*t"

Or so I heard.  Also, I can't remember his name at the moment, but the original Obi-wan actor later described the dialogue as "Banal" (He was also apparently horrified that Star Wars was what he would be remembered for)
