I believe the quote was.

"George, you can write this sh*t but you can't say this sh*t"

Or so I heard.  Also, I can't remember his name at the moment, but the original Obi-wan actor later described the dialogue as "Banal" (He was also apparently horrified that Star Wars was what he would be remembered for)

His name is Alec Guinness, and if I recall correctly he's also the only one from the cast of A New Hope that thought the movie would be a hit.

Everyone else thought it would bomb horribly.

Edit: More info about Guinness.

He was upset that he would be known for Star Wars simply because he had a respected film career prior to the Star Wars films. Which he figured knew he would not be remembered for because of the success of Star Wars.

Any chance the Rule of Two might be a thing of the past? Most of the backstory is now off-canon. It atleast has a place in canon thanks to Clone Wars & Prequel Trilogy... But Palpy didn't immediately kill off Maul (I realize he has books coming out, but I doubt they'll kill him off there unless Disney is like "loose end, destroy"). It would seem he may have kept Barriss Offee alive, she could be trained as a Sith later on. You have the Inquisitor & the rest of the Inquisitors(maybe). And now Kylo Ren(also maybe). It would be interesting if once the Jedi were destroyed, the thing the rule of two was made for & led the Sith to, Palpy decided he was free to reshape the order how he saw fit. That then lays the ground work for Ren in Awakens if Ren is a Sith. Just because we had the EU do it one way for so long doesn't mean it will stay that way, so could Palpy have switched gears either following or in anticipation of the events in ep 3?

The Rule of Two is still a thing, because Darth Bane's spirit appeared in The Clone Wars cartoon and made a direct mention of it to Yoda. I believe that the Inquisitors are something that can never reach the level of Palpatine or Vader and are not trained to their fullest potential (that way Palpatine doesn't have to worry about them ganging up on him). There is actually speculation that one of the Inquisitors in the Rebels Season 2 trailer is in fact Bariss (I think it might be Mara Jade). The figure in question is female and wears a helmet that reminds me of Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe.

I'm starting to think that the Inquisitors took over the Empire after Palpatine died. During the newest trailer and during the scene with the Stormtroopers gathered together in front of a large First Order banner, if you look in the background right below the banner and on stage, there are a bunch of figures that appear to be wearing black robes and Kylo Ren (it's debatable, but I believe it to be him) appears to be the figure in the center. First Order also sounds religious in nature to me. Perhaps Kylo Ren was the strongest among them or was chosen as their champion?

TL;DR: Palpatine bent the Rule of Two and yet worked within its confines, as Vader was his apprentice and the only one who could possibly succeed (before he was broken on Mustafar, of course).

The rule of two is basically in the hands of Kylo Ren. Does he care about Sith tradition?? Or does he have the ambition to re-make the Sith order from the ground up... ?

I'm kinda expecting an overall big bad guy from the villain, but naturally I'd love for Kylo Ren to bring something more "grey" on the table, whatever it would be.

But considering Star Wars is generally quite conventional, I don't expect much.

I don't like Anakin. He's coarse and rough and irritating and he gets everywhere.

I bet that after his show of power, he wishes he lived in the Star Trek universe.

Their surgery actualyl fixes you up as good as new without scars.

Only with super blood.

Then again, didn't Spock somehow survive his death?

Rule of Two only works if you have incredibly strong and talented Sith Lords. In my opinion the precipice of the Rule of Two was Sidious/Vader combo, as they ushered in a new Sith Empire, killed the Jedi and destroyed the Jedi Order and successful turned the Chosen One to the darkside.

Now tho??????

Naw, for one. There is no really uber powerful Sith Lord like Sidious, or Plagueious, or Bane. There's just a rag tag dude who really wants to be a Sith and collects artificats, lol (Ren).

So no. Rule of Two is foolish in this era for the Sith.

Unless........ They can turn Luke to a full fledged Sith......

Ren should do what Malgus did, and create a Sith Army filled with Inquisitors and stuff.

And you just had to explain who he was, so not even that.

The Inquisitors actually existed in the old EU. As I recall, they had relativley limited force training, with more of a focus on combat. So it seems like Palpatine never considered them to be a violation in either continuity.

Watched the finale of rebels and skipped rest of season. Was a mostly enjoyable 20 minutes. Looking forward to maybe a darker season 2. Was there a obi one moment by the bad guy?

My guess was that sithing includes specific training and skills, not just using the dark side, so having force able henchmen wouldn't be a danger as training others in the sith ways. Palpatine was also smart enough not to teach everything he knew going by the opera scene, so he wouldn't become expendable as Plagueis did.

Mara Jade wasn't ever in the dark side, although it has more to do with being Zahn's pet character. An assassin with no anger, fear ot agression? And protected because she thought she was doing good? Please. Your boss blew up a planet, enslaved races and a very long list of other things, just how blind was she?

The latest rumor is that Leia never married Han. She married Lando.

Probably BS, but it would be a nice twist. Everyone just assumes she married Han.

The movie's climax involves Han and Lando fighting over Leia who is on the top of a pole, and the characters constantly refer to each other by the actors' real names while winking at the camera.

Do you think bothans will be in rogue one or do they only die in return of the jedi?
