Positive developments for Bioware. Having a Gears of War dev in house means they can abandon all pretenses of Mass Effect being an RPG and turn it into the dudebro shooter that they've always wished it to be, and Priestly's departure frees up some extra money that was previously wasted on forklift rentals.

Am i the only one hlad Chris Priestly is gone? Better him than Ninja Stan

Just you, I think.

If they seriously turned it into a full shooter it would get a worse response then the ME 3 ending did.

never liked Chris but never hated him either. I have to say though for all the crap he took on the forums I am surprised he didnt leave sooner. Part of me doubts he is leaving because it is common knowledge here on BSN that everything Chris says is really the exact opposite.

About the GoW dude...never played any GoW game. honestly I know nothing about the franchise other than the fact it is a shooter.

oh and I guess this means we are one step closer to the hit game Gears of Effect: Mass Wars 4?

I wish you really well Chris! You've been around forever, and you're a big part of "Bioware" to me.

Well the sad thing is not only is BioWare is going south but the quality of posters on this site has been going south for a long time, pretty clear evidence of it in this thread that is for sure. So many first class ****s. Most have to be at that age in life where they get no respect and thus no respect is given. Unforunate.

So this thread is primarily fat jokes and Bio-bashing? Why did I ever think it would be something different?

Best of luck in all of your future endeavors Mr. Priestly.

Thank you for all your hard work, both in making the great games we played and for your time on the BSN.

Oh, lol, so true. It's like BioWare coming out of their closet. Revealing their long-supressed desires to the public. Also, good riddance

Chris Priestly is a great guy, I've met him on several occasions and he is anything but 'evil' in real life. I sincerely hope the leaving is of his own choosing and not more 'organizational moves.' I also am more nervous than ever re the direction mass effect is going.

I concur, Priestly is an incredibly enthusiastic guy, always eager to chat and always eager to hear different opinions. Also he likes to joke a lot, especially after a couple beers. Great big fellow and I am sad, very sad I might not be meeting him again.

Farscape Rigel the XVIth: Good bye, good luck, good riddence.

Nah just good bye & good luck.

Seriously, I agree with you. When things change I always look for something or someone familiar to remind myself that the new is not replacing the old.  He was one of the consistent Bioware Devs on here.  Lots of things changed but he was still here. I'll miss him. :(

Hm, read about the new guy from different sources, but they didn't mention Chris leaving.

+1 Co-host with Greg's beer documentary!

Turning it into a full shooter would be for the best.
