No. There is not. The level cap mod requires a server.

What does it mean, a server?

Usually a persistent world, rather than a single-player module.

So, no way to get past level 30 in single-player?

No. The official campaigns barely reach 30 anyway.

Why do you want that anyway? Let's suppose that the cap is moved to level 40. Will that be enough, or will you want 50, 60 or 100?

This might not be the place for a discussion of the ruleset, but I figure that a game based on a d20 doesn't really need more than 20 levels. After 20, you're just doing the same die rolls with a bit of padding to make it seem "epic". Better just to give the PC extra feats, skills, items, and spell slots ad hoc rather than upping the BAB in a purely mechanical way.

Alternatively to fix the party limit without worrying about the toolset, you may use the function SetRosterNPCPartyLimit(int nLimit) in an initialization script or call ga_party_limit from the first conversation. Both can also be used to dynamically change the party limit during the course of the campaign.
As for level cap you can set it using the campaign editor plug in. Set the properties LevelCap and XPCap.

As mentionned above, no real point in capping above 30.

Sure Arkalezth, I always want more, more and more! :)
Anyway, it would just be another challenge. It was quite easy with Baldurs Gate 2 to extend the level cap.

Actually the level cap is 40, the game mechanics go up to 40 just like NWN1. The limit is artificial and was intended as a feature to release for a future expansion, just lke you were capped at 20 with just the OC. ( the NWNx adjustment to fix this is just removing this artificial cap, the game works just fine without it ) Above 40 is not actually implemented or rather gets into extreme wonkiness. But then we can only modify the game via the server for mulitplayer, the only one who could possibly modify the single player game is skywing and his NWN2 client extension, or hex editing the exe to do the same thing. Both of which are just things that have never happened.

Then of of course they implemented 4th edition epic progression, which distorts the games balance much faster long before you hit 26, and also the other 4th edition rules which say you only get 30 levels. Great idea, but only if you play 4th edition, in 3.5 and earlier the only level cap is your imagination.

( hint, they actually go up above level 40 in NWN1, server called higher ground, they have a lot of fun and have content for every level -  not everyones cup of tea, but then we are a lot better off without a single flavor which would make the world far too bland. )

One thing I really don't get:
Is the maximum level 40 or 30 without editing the games client? Seems like there exists some disagreement.
It wouldn't work if you'd just change the level variable for the campaign via toolset to 40 and adapt maximum XP, would it?

There is no disagreement. In NWN2, the max level is 30 for single player.

There is an artificial cap of 30 ( ie the game client blocks anything it sees above that but actually supports above 30 ) For all intents and purposes this is the official cap.

The game if you hack a certain spot to remove this artificial cap actually goes up to 40. This is not a case of adding a feature, but removing a restriction - same restriction that keeps you at level 20 if you only have the OC, the game actually fully implements it from 20 to 40 without that restriction.

This cap is removed on some PW's via a NWNx plugin, which works in multiplayer, but not in single player. It still obeys the restriction set via a campaign or on the module by the author of the module, but allows this to be raised. There is no way to do this in single player, however the same idea that allows the NWNx plugin to work could be done to the single player game.

The level progression is still borked, it does not follow actual D&D 3.5 rules which is more akin to "Better just to give the PC extra feats, skills, items, and spell slots ad hoc rather than upping the BAB in a purely mechanical way" than what they did. Because BAB rises so fast, going up to level 40 is more akin to level 60 under correct 3.5 rules.

Anyway, there are some PW's which go up to level 40 ( via a server hack ), but the single player game only goes up to level 30. Without modification the limit is always 30.
