The light and colour schemes of the two previous DA games was very different from one another. DAO was characterized by a rather brown and murky colour, and its light was relatively dour and dark. DA2, on the other hand, was much brighter, and as someone who lives in a city right on the shore of the Mediterranean, and whose home is not two kilometers from the beach, this light actually made me feel right at home. Even the colour and texture of the buildings often felt very familiar, and although the neighbourhood I live in has relatively modern style of construction, I don't think I'd need to venture far from home to see houses not dissimilar.
So, as you can understand from the above I rather liked the light and colours of DA2, I know some did not.
When I saw the "Fires from the Sky" trailer for the game, I noticed the colour scheme and light was more similar to DAO. My question, I suppose, is - does this stem from the fact that the area described was close in its climate to Ferelden? Or does it stem specifically from the war and fires going on? Will light and colour schemes change as the Inquisitor travels in the various regions of Thedas, much as they do in our world?
