Phantoms.
Was stood next to a friend on london and phantom snook up on us, melee'd my friend and sync'd me instead of him, and so I wasn't ready to hit the ops pack with no melee warning.

Seeing my mate run around as he screams over skype: WATCH OUT Scion grenades - Whereas i for no logical reason runs there, and get bombed to death...
Rolls down a ramp, and ragegells right under a preathorian to get instakilled.... Almost threw my mouse out of the window by then >.>

One of my funniest moments was that of a Platinum solo.
I had a moment in which two nemesis almost simultaneously fired at me and bring me down to my health gate. I immediately took cover and in the corner of my eye, I noticed a swamer a second too late.

Falling out of the map on Vancouver, through the floor textures, only to be killed by an Atlas rocket that somehow followed me there (space magic?)...

Don't know if it counts as a death, but on time I touched the skybox and it crashed my game.

When I unlocked the krolord I did a silver solo vs. Cerberus to test him out and was sync killed by an atlas on wave 11 because I thought he was immune to sync kills

I was trying to take cover, but instead I jumped to hug a grenade. You can guess what happened next.

When collectors first came out, me and a friend were playing with terrible pugs it had been for all intents a duo. End of wave eight he gets downed and I tell him to stay down there is only one enemy left. I'm out of medigel round the corner to kill this last trooper when I get instanly downed. I assume a nade went off without a marker. I was pissed, embarassed, etc.

I got downed by a combat engineer, PUG #1 tries to revive me without taking out the engineer and gets downed by him. PUG #2 rushes over to try to revive me and gets downed by the same engineer. I then gel, take out the engineer and revive both of them. Pretty embarrassing stuff.

Sooo many times I charged a Banshee when she wasn't in teleport/grab mode, only for her to instant switch modes after impact and give me the hug.
To be fair though, the moment I charged them, it was theoretically perfectly safe to do so ... it's just that in practicality, the AI will switch modes instantly if they so much as care for it.
I'd say I get the botton half of a Darwin Award for that ... so I should be at around twenty Darwin Awards in total, give or take.

That's no Darwin Award. And no misfortune should ever erase you from our genepool, you're class A breeding potential. Tell your boyfriend that! If you ever come close to endangering your fertility, have him take the blow, for humanity's sake!

Lol, just read what I wrote ... damn that sounds creepy.

Getting taken down by a husk is most embarrassing. Guess swarmer would be too.

PS3, so aim ASSist. I was trying to aim my Indra at a Phantom, and got confused when I scoped in and I was looking at a Centurion instead. By the time I unscope the Phantom is in its melee animation and I was boned.
