I'm thinking about starting a final playthrough for The Dragon Age games in preparation for Dragon Age Inqusition, and was wondering if any details have been given about how importing a save from a current generation console onto a next generation console will work.

Unless the consoles can share data like savegames between their two generation hardware, I'd wager you'd get an interactive comic (DLC).

I seriously hope they do not do that. That would plain suck. What about cloud save files? Maybe those will carry across consoles? I still have saves from the Mass Effect series, so I hope there will be some way to carry save data between consoles somehow.

Bioware does keep track of user choices in an online database... perhaps they'll incorporate that somehow.

Bioware have something planned but they are not telling what it is
I'm hoping for a checklist as i) it does not require an internet connection
ii) it is not restricted by console manufacturer
iii)it will allow correction of errors where data has not been saved correctly
