Mass Effect 1: So clunky and weird pushy romance convos with liara.
Uncharted 1: Monster ****s. (I forgot the word for german-y bad folks in WW2 was censored)
Kingdoms of Amalur: So uninspired.
Dark and Demon Souls: A game that exists to be difficult and thats it.
Borderlands1-2: Goofy and only tolerable with friends.
Baldur's Gate 1: Its soo bad. Horrid combat and writing.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Part dislike of the controller, (I can't fault the sword's responsiveness, though. That thing's precise) part lack of challenge, I remember being stuck in Ocarina of Time's Water Temple for days. Skyward's "Water Temple" I finished in about an hour.
You can't blame that on Skyward Sword though. The only person you can blame here is yourself for becoming older, wiser en more experienced.
I'm sure that if you would play Zelda Ocarina of Time for the very first time right now, you would also beat the Water Temple in under an hour in that game. Really, the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time is not at all harder than the Water Temple in Skyward Sword.

What exactly were you expecting out of this game? I'm assuming you must have hyped yourself up quite a bit for it to be the most disappointing game you've ever played.MassivelyEffective0730 wrote...

Command and Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight - Take a beloved strategy franchise with a great, well built lore along with fantastic characters and good gameplay and then completely ****** on it while kicking it in the balls at the same time and even then you would not reach the same level of **** that is this game. Not quite as personal for me, but it was worse then what happened to World of Warcraft if you are objective about it.
Mass Effect 3 - It's not the ending. It's Cerberus, It's the lackluster gameplay, it's the inconsitent lore, it's the idiotic portrayal of characters which had depth or at least the appearence of depth makes it a perfect package of boredom and frustration.
Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm - What started in Wings of Liberty was finished in Heart of the Swarm. Talk about ripping your own lore and characters to shreds. Hell talk about making the entireeffort Raynor went through in the original game completely and utterly pointless.
Fallout: New Vegas - I both enjoyed Fallout 3 and Obsidian games in general yet I found this game to be so damned dull that I couldn't even be bothered to finish it.
Dungeon Siege 3 - Talk about a meh game Obsidian.

Given ME2's handling of import choices and it's (lack of) story,I'd say ME3 turned out as one should have expected.

Mass Effect 3, Resident Evil 6 big letdowns of my year.
The ME 3 ending is a pretty epic fail, and deserves its own recognition, but the game itself didn't disappoint me.
RE 6 certainly did. And Max Payne 3 should never have seen the light of day - and definitely not as a $50 game. $30, tops. Even that wouldn't be worth it, for me. There's maybe 15 hours of gameplay (if you have to play every level several times. If you've played Max Payne before, you can probably finish it in under ten hours.)

And Assassins creed 3, for how they handled everything and made everything so much more restrictive. But still, the first two I went in expecting an awesome and funny game, and what I got was a weak game with some attempted comedy crutchwork, one succeeding a lot more than the other.
Most of the games people have listed so far I either didn't play(Diablo 3), had no expectation for(SWTOR), or enjoyed despite it's flaws(ME3).
But honestly, the one game that I felt disappointing me the most was Marvel vs Capcom 3. Marvel vs Capcom 1 was one of the earliest games I ever played, it was pretty much my first video game not meant for just little kids. I spent more quarters on it's sequel in my teen years than I can count, it was literally my favorite fighting game for almost this day. When they finally announced a sequel, I was thrilled. When they began to make promises such as more characters than MVC 2, an actual story and plotline, and the like I was so estactic. And what I got was a generic fighting game with just the characters, half of which were locked content, and even more being paid dlc to unlock on disc content, it killed my interest in the series forever. I've moved on to NetherRealm studios since they know how to make a fighting game and how to give it a story, but MVC 3 is still my "what could have been" title.
This is how I felt about it to this day

Indeed. I wasn't expecting the story to blow me away or anything (which it didn't) so I guess that's why I wasn't terribly disappointed. It improved on what I expected it to though, which was the combat. The multiplayer really was the highlight of my experience with the game.Seboist wrote...

Second place is Thief 3 Deadly Shadows (2004), it had very little in common with the awesome previous Thief titles, the graphics engine was awful, the maps were small, the blue-hue lighting made my eyes bleed and the controls...it felt like the protagonist was on roller skates.
3rd place goes to Mass Effect 3, maybe because my hopes were unrealistically high but it could have been so much more, and I'm not just talking about the ending and the liner story. I wanted to fight with my old squadmates from ME2, I wanted a huge large scale showdown on earth, I wanted to see the armies I gathered to fight the Reapers in actual combat...
Ah, it could have been an almost perfect game.

Are you saying that there were games that I should find to be more disappointing to me?
I disagree if you are saying that.

Doesn't mean I think they're the worst games there are, or the worst I played, just means those are the ones that, well, disappointed me the most.

Yeah, yeah. I just hate the thought of being "too old for Zelda." The challenge was what drew me to this series in the first place. I'm still going to pick up the 3ds LttP sequel for nostalgia reasons, but beyond that, I really have to stop throwing my money at Nintendo if I'm not really enjoying the games.
