I think that perception of Miranda is wholly contingent on how you visualize playing your Shepard.  If you're playing a pro-human Renegade that subscribes to the Cerberus newsletter and jumps at the Illusive Man's every word, Miranda is probably the least of your worries.

But if you're a Paragon, or even a Sole Survivor Renegade with a mad-on for Cerberus...dynamics that would make up probably at least half of the player base...Miranda seems prime to stab you in the back.  She's the Illusive Man's Girl Friday.  Chances are she's primarilly along to keep tabs on you and make sure you toe the Cerberus line.  It's hard to classify someone of her character type as trustworthy, and her being sent along seems to indicate that Cerberus feels the same about you.

Her video sums up the dynamic perfectly.  Shepard has to fight to earn her trust.  That street runs both ways.  Unless your Shepard is a complete pro-human trigger-happy Renegade, trust will likely be tenuous between the two.  You can't really blame people for seeing that conflict and stating the obvious.

To be blunt, screw them at this point. If they don't like Miranda...they're lost. And it's nice to see another pro-human, not half-***** renegade.

I don't know. Alot of religions were somehow invalidated, and underwent re-construction or were subsumed into other religions, when the prothean stuff was found; I don't know how something can be specifically labeled a "cult" with all of that happening. Probably something to do with biotics though.

Thats how they transport prisonersr; they aren't kept in there indefinately. That happens in some irl prisons; with people being kept in cages and stuff.
