What do you think my canon Hawke's personality should be?

He's going to be a male warrior who romances Merril and chooses all the same important decisions, now it's just a matter of whether I want him to be mean or act like a goody goody, lol. I was gonna give him a diplomatic personality but now that I think about it it sounds boring, and I figured he could also be a mean guy with a soft spot for those he cares for. On the other hand, his behavior would be the antithesis of Merril.

I want him to be his own character; my warden for example is a female city elf with a chill and sarcastic demeanor, I want him to be different from her.

Not really interested in the silly personality, I don't remember it that well but as I recall some parts of it were really annoying. -.-

It´s your choice, i ended up picking the agressive personality because i wanted hawke to side with Petrice, and that is the only way. I also prefer the deliver of the agressive lines as femhawke, whenever as malehawke the agressive tone was just too angry to be using constantly that tone.

There you can see the speech that Hawke makes at the end of the game, made by agressive/sarcastic/diplomatic hawke respectively. It is a good piece to get the idea of what each tone says on the same situation, so you get a decent idea about what are the priorities of each personality. At least it helped me to decide, I hope it helps you too.

For me it's not about always picking the same set of answers - it's about deciding who to be diplomatic/aggressive to. Who does your Hawke like, and who gets up his/her nose?

If you're romancing Merrill I'm guessing you'll be diplomatic towards mage freedom fighters and elf rights advocates, but antagonistic towards the chantry, templars and possibly politicians?

Not necessarily so, but you get the idea.

Yeah I don't intend for whichever route I'll take to be purely one way or the other. Sometimes you just gotta show sympathy or joke about something or let someone know how much you want to punch them regardless

My Hawke is mostly aggressive. In some situations, she tries to be more friendly, but I really love the direct/grumpy personality. She's always willing to help people out, but she doesn't have to be nice about it.
