Feel free to call me weird, but I'm going through a period where I really hate[/i] dying in games. For instance, I'm trying to play thru ME3 on Insanity without dying, and I just got rocked a few times on Tuchanka. Made me angry to the point where I'm thinking about scrapping my game and restarting the whole thing. Can someone talk me off the ledge, or does anyone want to push me?

The point is to get mad and make the game RUE THE DAY it messed with you.

I suggest that you download the ME3: Firefight Pack.

You will have access to the Harrier, Indra, and Krysae. These will make the game incredibly easy on Insanity.

You are weird. :P

Honestly, starting from scratch isn't practical - you will never finish insanity if you keep starting from the beginning.

I am kind of the same way, but clearly not as bad as you.

If you can't handle defeat, don't play insanity.

On Insanity, if you don't want to die often, it really helps if you have armor mods and "Intel" upgrades that increase shield and health points, and mostly this last category since some special attacks by some enemeis drain your shields completely in 1 or 2 hits..

Even if you managed for now, I doubt you'd get far without dying on the Citadel DLC anyways. Just accept dying.

I'm playing through insanity right now too, and what StreetMagic said is unfortunately true. Citadel DLC is a b****, especially the beginning when it's just you with no squad mates. What class are you playing as and what part of Tuchunka are you stuck on? Is it the final run to the maw towers against the Reaper?

Get the harrier, upgrade it to as high as you can get it, use a squadmate who has an ammo type, or use your own, nobody can stop you

Don't look at me. I did this 3 times in ME2. Might have tried it in ME3 but got addicted to multiplayer. Go for it I say.

Why are you playing on insanity if you don't like playing on insanity?

This.

It might not be the answer you were looking for, but I'd suggest lowering the difficulty.

I had to drop back down to Normal (really Veteran) in ME3 because it was getting to hectic. There's no shame in lowering the difficulty if things get too...difficult.

Don't give me the choice. It's like giving me a big red button that might destroy the world.

I have to push it to see what happens!

Other than that this is all the advice I can give on the matter.

Well I'm on that ledge too. I tend towards a dead is dead playstyle
However with a game like mass effect when you can die by getting sucked into cover trying to storm past an object, or by a squad mate getting in your way when someone has thrown a grenade. It's just not practical to restart.
I settle for restarting the mission from scratch. One of these days I might complete an insanity run death free but it's highly unlikely.

i find my biggest foes playing insanity are the Cerberus turrets and grenades that I screw up on. Insta-death from those things.

Bump it down to Casual, play a Sentinel with Defense Matrix.

If you still die, consider quitting gaming forever.

Isn't the whole point of videogames to let you do extremely violent, extremely dangerous crap without A) going to jail or B) getting your a** blown up?

Well, Insanity is quite easy (if you imported your Shepard that is), but BW plays dirty: horde mode, enemies respawning right behind you.

Welcome to Mass Effect 3

Jump!

Turn the difficulty down.
