The turian abomination and the sexbot are a blight upon the galaxy. Stop recommending them to new players, they are conducive to developing extremely bad playing habits.
 

But they are the best kits for those who want to do their first solos. That and the kroguard vs geth. Why would you not recommend them for "help me get the lone wolf banner" situations.

 

When you are a toddler, you get a tricycle, then you get a small bike with the litle support wheels at the back wheel, then you take them off when you don`t need them anymore. After that you might get a normal urban bike to get to school,work etc. Last stop is a racing bike, cos you take the steps up the ladder. Some people have talent and get a racing bike not long after they can ride on 2 wheels without faling over. 

But if you give a toddler a racing bike and go, ride this, the tricycle will give you extremely bad habits, you get someone that gives up ever learning to ride a bike.

 

Sorry for the long winded metafor, but this lolTGI is for scrubs, use a *nofitness human adept for your first solo, and go hazard glacier collectors* stuff needs to get toned down.

The TGI and the Sexbot almost completely negate the bad consequences when you lack map awareness, wave composition knowledge, objectives positioning/kiting, enemy movement patterns, spawn patterns, etc., etc. There are no stimuli to learn those things. You just learn to press the grenade power button and then the WinCloak button. Gradually progressing would be soloing with a kit with full fitness and cyclonic IV to using cyclonic III, shield-recharge III, adrenaline III, only level 5 Fitness without cyclonic/shield=recharge/adrenaline and finally whatever the hell you want.

 

Also, hyperbolizing a statement and then saying it needs to get toned down is disingenuous. I have no desire to tilt at straw men.

Mostly because I spend lots of gels on solos. As a matter of fact I already have 255 gels and ops. 230 cobras but gels are the issue here.

OP:

Consider equipping the Responder pack (+3 gels, +12% shield regen speed), although a Geth Scanner might give you more situational awareness of the enemy presence and allow you to outmaneuver their flanking attempts thereby not having to use a gel in the first place. 

 

Not you OP:

What is up with the stick-up-your-butt BSN disdain for the TGI and AIU?  Both are fun kits to play and very effective when played correctly.  There are a lot of other kits that can be played incorrectly and lead to equally bad game-play habits as well.  It's just a game.  Enjoy!   Get over it! 

 

That said, any Turian kit with their passives along with good level 3 or 4 equipment can make most basic weapons pretty good.

Dude you know how long it takes to get lvl 4 equip? I'd say only after u max our rares. U know how long it takes to max out rares? Well far too long so using better kits for solo is fine. Nobody will focus on that kit only. If you vary you don't learn bad habits.

I suggest doing a Collector Adept w Collector Assault Rifle vs Collectors Platinum.........it's really fun.

 

Had a match as a Collector with CAR in a lobby full of other Collectors with CARs. We drove to Hydra and fought Cerberus. Lone Survivor. True story. This happened yesterday.

somewhere between purism and taking all possible shortcuts imaginable.

The TGI and AIU are fine IMO, for new and experienced players alike. Yeah, they are easier to play than most other kits, but ME3 MP is actually supposed to be fun and not some kind of super serious competitive esports thing where being overpowered is banned, so it doesn't really matter. 

 

However, it is still a game where everything can go completely to hell over the matter of just a few seconds, so sometimes it's nice to just turian and chill with the TGI and not have to worry about --

That's the same as ops packs, gives you a couple of seconds of total damage reduction after you use them.....

People don't solo Gold with a TGI/AIU in order to learn how to play the game. By that point, the ship has sailed. Telling other people what kits to use while soloing doesn't actually make them any better at the game, and really won't have any effect on anyone's experience playing PuGs. It really just comes down to whether the advice helps them achieve their goal, or not.

 

My perspective is that I'm going to tell them to use the kits that will help them achieve their goal. Either way, it isn't going to have any effect on me, so they might as well use whatever will get the job done for them.

Well, when you use stim packs or ops packs you take no damage for a few seconds, that clip have great comedial value as the player is totally stuck in that spot by the collectors trying to get away, no matter how that poor Turian tries he/she is stuck by the Collectors blocking all escape, it's pretty funny to watch
