... which brought to mind something I've wondered about several times.  Perhaps we can puzzle out an answer. 

When Amy wins the Harvest Festival talent competition, Reta Starling says something like, "That was wonderful, Amy.  I haven't seen anything like that since .... *sigh*"

Which raises the question:

WHAT EXACTLY DID LORNE STARLING DO AT THE HARVEST FESTIVAL TALENT COMPETITION?

Given some of the other clues around, I think I've deduced two of Lorne's three acts:

(1) He lined up ten Harvest Mead bottles and lopped off all their necks with a single swing of a cleaver.

(2) He stuffed feathers into the back end of a pig and blew into its mouth until Porky was inflated to twice its normal size.

...

The third act still eludes me, though.

Actually, I think I've got it.

He sang a duet with an itenerant kobold merchant who happened to be in town for the Festival.  They did the performance on a rooftop and their swinging hips caused the roof to collapse.

This mishap was probably what caused him to lose to Cormick.
