The horror stories here. Am I just lucky with my PUGs or is the console population such a leecher hive?

Either way, join the master race people! In case of doubt we can always just use a bot instead of PUGs! Mostly they'll even play better, ehehe.

I extract most games and I only PUG. Im not even picky who I play with either. I come into lobby equipped, ready up and off I go.

The OT has nothing to do with PUGs though. Trying to host lobbies has been this way since day one. Everyone wants to host cause its the most OP thing in the game. The handful of times I hosted, sheeeesh, it's like cheating. Never miss. Vanguards do what they are supposed to. Warp balls dont go through enemies.

Some of the peeps that I see complain on here about PUGs, usually I find shouldnt even be in those PUGs to begin with or always play with buddies and are out of their element when they actually have to play as opposed to having 4 peeps knowing what to do when playing together.

It is.

In fact, each gun is a crutch. So is using your hand to play or your eyes to look at the screen. Also reflexes are
a crutch.

Switching on your screen and starting the game in the first place are probably the biggest crutches though.
Who needs that?:P

Pro's play videogames on their PC with monitor turned off.

Who needs 400+ bucks GPUs for best graphic performance if a 100+bucks soundcard is all you need to play a videogame?!

I tried looking for an U/U/P game on the weekend. Not much on offer. Ended up in the same lobby 3 times with the same 2 players who refused to kick off with just the 3 of us.

My MO for Gold PUGs:

(1) Join (no Equipments, of course). Usually I land in Wave 3 (Objectives).

(2.1) Proceed with score whoring till I'm the score leader.

(2.2) Proceed with medal whoring till I have 20 Headshots medal.

(3) Bleed out (this is usually around Wave 7 or 8).

Not having anyone join seems to be random and not just confined to gold

I'm not sure I consider myself a BSN member but I PUG exclusively (no entries in friends list). Most of the gold games I play result in extraction (though not always full) and it's not because of me. (So far I have not topped the scoreboard in a gold game yet.)

Huh, it looks like I'm describing what those who complain about bad pugs are actually experiencing - from the PUG's side.

The quality of play last night in public matches I was in was nothing short of horrendous. I quit two matches in which I was leading the scoreboard. I simply couldn't hack it.

I love to pug if nothing else to find the most amazing gamer tags... Last night I spent time with 'ExplosiveAss' 'SushiCrapcakes' and 'SoEngorged'. That would never have happened without a public lobby...

On PS3 I PUG gold every day with no problem.

I'm on PS3 and still playing, so add me if you want another Gold buddy. :)

Sure, I'll add you :)

PUGs more often than not aren't super quick for me, but they aren't a struggle usually.
And every now and then there's the one that flows beautifully. ^_^

I do play Gold pugs occasionally, but I like to play Plat pretty much exclusively now. Though my important UR's are mostly only at 7 or up, they are still way too strong for Gold imo. It gets tiresome having to carry all of the time for inexperienced players, not to mention it feels dumb using high level gears on Gold. I understand, but I prefer to play with the legit killers on U/U/P.

I still PUG gold regularly on xbox. The only time its frustrating is when the host has a poor connection. I don't mind playing with inexperienced players, as long as they are at least trying.

I used to pride myself in my pugging (the only time I look good is when I'm carrying noobs!). Okay, I know how bad that sounds Image IPB (that, and I've become quite elitist Image IPB).

Recently, however, I've just had a total lack of enthusiasm. Why should I break my back, use up all my equipment and go out of pocket when no one else makes an effort?!

I'm unemployed too, which means I'm totally broke Image IPB.

I'm too easy-going which means that I'm not picky with my lobbies at all. Instead of N7 and challenge point numbers; I really wish that BW had given us a screen to see how much equipment people had (by which I mean medi-gel, missiles etc).

People who only have two of everything are really doing a disservice to their team-mates on gold and above - in fact it's a complete joke. Image IPB

Player ability aside (and I fully understand that people have good days and bad days); it speaks volumes when people don't use any equipment/gear at all.

Are gold PUGs a lost cause? Not quite yet. You should see platinum - it's rampant with bronze players and missile glitchers! Image IPB

I dunno gold Pugs have always been kinda sh*tty on PS3, so I don't enter most games with high hopes anyway. If I'm proven wrong terrific but most of the time I'm not.

I had really really bad luck with gold pugs today, so i played with my brother for a couple matches and did well. I will always pug gold but sometimes it's just too much.
