Unable to post in technical support forum. Searched forums and no fixes work. Problem seems slightly different to ones addressed.

I'm not able to post in the Dragon Age Origins PC technical  support forum even though I have a registered game, an account more than 24 hours old (couple of years in fact) and have played whilst logged in on an origins account. Far as I can tell, I meet all the requirements, yet it still tells me "You do not meet the requirements to post in this forum. Please see the FAQ for more details." What do I still need to do?

Also, my DA:O content updater is running, BUT under my downloadable content page:
-available content  list is empty, BUT
-download progress is not empty (the game knows I have DLCs), BUT all are stopped at 0% with the message 'download failed'. Have tried DNS flush and reinstalling my .net framework, both did not work.

Any help will be appreciated.

You can't post at tech support forums because they are closed. Tech support is now available at http://answers.ea.co...ct-p/dragon-age

If you are sure updater is running:
1) In DA:O Launcher, click configure and then Repair and click the button "Clear Download Cache"
Retry, in the regular fashion, else:
2) Delete the :/Users/(Username)/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings/manifest.xml file
3) Manually download and install the .dazip files
4) Make sure My Documents is in the default location when installing DLC
5) If Windows region and language is not US and English temporarily change to US and English to install DLC.

A good forum for tech issues:

Yeah that new help page...hah... nobody every posts there. I have an outstanding question on it to no avail. What I need is a tech. This is ridiculous.!!! I'm so sick of re-downloading, only to find the game is completely un-patched, and I cannot log in from inside the game, though my profile here and on Origin seem to work.

I've had my original Digital Download since before Origin when they were using a different downloader and I think that's the problem. Pre EA. No matter what I do, I cannot log into the game, even after re-downloading it from Origin. (Unpatched, of course).

And you suppose there's anything, anywhere that mentions if Patch 1.05 includes all of the others? 1.02a through 1.04?

Why does this have to be so darned difficult? If they'd just quit changing things, so that things could gel... I started on the old Bioware forums, back before there was the social network. All these merges have been a frickin' mess.

The answer to your question is yes. All the patches contain the fixes of the ones before them.

So all you need to do is install the 1.5 patch.
