sometimes when i have had my PS3 on for a very long time it takes a LOT of time before i can loot mobs, i'm thinking my console is just geting over heated but just double checking
3+ minutes before able to loot

It never takes more than 20 seconds or so for me and I tend to leave the PS3 on alot. Don't know if it differs from console to console but I have a 60GB version which is reverse compatible. Just mentioned it for comparison's sake.

It does take a while, though not over 3 minutes, before I can loot any slain creatures. It's a little bit annoying; especially if there's only 2-3 creatures on the ground. With more there's no standing still doing nothing.

It always varies for me sometimes loot comes up immediately other times I have to wait until the blood squirts before the loot appears. Sometimes that doesn't even work so I just leave and retrace my steps and magically it appears.

I have this as well. I must admit it's kind of ridiculous, I've never seen anything close to this in a game. I mean, how did they manage to create lootlag in an offline game, lol. It's not a problem, it is however quite bothersome if I pass dead mobs 3 or 4 times and they are suddenly lootable the 5th time I ran past them for example. .

i've had the same problem but i think it was only because ive had my PS3 turned on for +10 hours, however the problem doesn't seem to happen when i have it on for the first few hours

It doest have to do with how long the ps3 has been on, but how long you've been playing, just exit and restart the game, load your save, and you'll be instantly looting in no time. Also it seems that the less characters/saves you have, the longer it takes before the delay becomes a problem.

If you save the game and load it, you will be able to loot imediatly. I agree it is rediculous but I figured I would share the tip =)
