I would very much like to see a female Qunari LI!

As such I support the Idea of a male Qunari LI also. Make it happen Bioware!

P.S.

Don't start debating the whole Kossith/Qunari thing again guys... Bioware created the confusion and YOU explaining it ad nauseum on a forum isn't going to fix it. The only way it's ever going to get sorted out for good is if they address it inside a game.

Qunari is philosophy not a race, even human or elf can be qunari.

Ooooo, an English lessonnnn.

The snippet I quoted was from "The World of Thedas", which does not mention any of that. I didn't know about the developer/writer comments, however. So, thanks. =) I must not scour the BSN enough, you see.

i was making fun out of you, which doesnt matter.
i for example know it because someone told me on forum. which is completely off topic so we wont discuss this any further or this will get locked up. which would not matter anyway since there wont be any qunari/kossith LI. have a nice day.

Wanted to put in my two cents, I would love the have a Kossith romance. I'm not sure why it's considered to be a fetish or something bizarre because they're just giant humans with horns and gray skin. Seriously, they're similar to the Asari in that they're so human looking with just a few tweeks. I think this type of romance would introduce a great avenue of story telling and give the traditional Bioware romance some variety.

I'd really like to hear from a Dev on this thread as to why it was called a fetish. Just curious.

Considering that male Qunari never wear shirts, and the female Qunari in the comics is rocking under-boobage, the devs really shouldn't be surprised that some people do fetishize them. It's the art team's fault.
And anyway, wanting a kossith as an LI doesn't automatically make one a fetishist, so IDK.

For a companion, it's a possibility.

As for a romance, I certainly hope the origin of such a request is that there's some aspect of qunari culture which someone finds appealing in a romance character. The alternative is too fetishistic to be appealing to me-- that they don't really care for any aspect of personality or temperament beyond the character being a tall, muscular woman. The idea that such a character should exist solely to indulge such a fetish is, in fact, exactly the sort of thing that would make a writer like myself disinclined to ever provide the option.

I think tall, muscular women are hot, especially combined with the qunari's sort of stoic, duty-driven outlook. I am sure there are many people who find big, strapping dudes hot.

Sure, it's fetishistic. I see nothing wrong with that, but I can understand why a writer might dislike being asked to provide for that specific desire. If the writers wanted to fulfill that sort of request, they'd hang out at the DA kink-meme and write fanfiction on demand.

If an unclothed Kossith male is the goal, I think DA2 made it profoundly clear it's not going to happen. The male "small clothes" they came up with were about as un-sexy as you can get and I hope to the Maker they change that in DA:I. If everyone's got to wear underwear I hope it's at least decent looking underwear. I didn't mind the loincloths in DAO but it seemed like males needed pants one way or another in DA2.

It's both a phylosophy AND a race. Like the word ''Jew'' can be a follower of Jeudaism as well as nationality, or some consider it a race.

Ok, David Gaider, I'm sorry but I have to call b.s. on that. The fact that some players idealize (fetishize) a tall muscular woman is disinclining....but hey let's let Morrigan's boobs hang out from behind that skimpy top. Oh and never mind Isabela's entire appearance. Oggling those characters is kosher. But a tall, muscular woman? Perversion!

And if I insulted your comment, David, I apologize, but you can see my logic right? I mean this has double standard written all over it...

Edit: Lmfao - I just imagined a gamer meeting Morrigan or (DA2) Isabela for the first time and the first thought in their mind is, "Gee! I want to know what her story is!" Yeah right. Lol. Both Morrigan and Isabel's struck gamers with this first impression: "Hey dudes, I have not one story but two, GREAT BIG DOUBLE D stories to give you. Come romance me."

Doesn't matter. People can like characters for whatever reason they want. I write and sell books, myself. I don't dictate my readers' experiences. That's silly, and impossible.

But back to the topic, disapproving of the attraction to a Kossith - of either gender - is, quite simply, unfair when considering all previous LI options.

No. More than a few posters are or were demanding that they wanted to romance a character based on their physical appearance. (objectification)

Tbh Bioware would look like a virtual pimp (some think they are) if they tailor made characters to catter to the demands of romance fans.

Yet they designed her DAO character model with enough side boob to furnish four Lelianas. Chasind - the indigenous people of the Korcari Wilds - have no difficulty covering their women if not from neck to knees, at least to mid-thigh, but Morrigan walks around flapping more skin than a plate of Buffalo wings. I've got nothing against boobs. I've got two of my own, and I'm really quite attached to them. But it's a bit naive to think that Morrigan's body model was not designed with the connoisseur of cleavage in mind.

You're suggesting that David has a double standard. In order to do so, you have to assume that he's fine with people fetishizing Morrigan and Isabela.

So yes, it does matter.

If he dislikes people doing that then it's not a double standard.

There's a difference between a woman being sexy and only appreciating a woman for her looks.

Yes, she's good looking. She also has a personality and plays an important part in the story.

Yuck. We're getting off topic.

Wanting to romance a male or female Kossith who may or may not be Qunari is not a fetish.

It's perfectly reasonable and would make for a fun adventure.

Gaider doesn't want to write a character just to cater to someone's fetish.

I doubt he disapproves of people who find Qunari attractive, but disapproved of people who want to romance them because they fetishize them.
If someone were to come up with a good reason why a Qunari is a good romance option beyond "I like them" than I'm sure he will give it a chance.

Honestly it'd make me feel dirty if I wrote something just to cater to someone else's fetish.

And plus a Qunari dude's tool would probably kill someone human sized.

I agree 100%

Qunari are attractive and they spawn from an interesting culture that everyone here on the forums wants to know more about.

A romance with a male or female Qunari would be awesome and IMO the most interesting Romance that could be written in this franchise as it currently stands.

Personally I would be interested in a Dwarf Romance, a Dalish Romance, or a Alienage Elf romance also.

I just found the romances in the last two games underwhelming.

Don`t mind me, i'm just here waiting for DG to show and accuse you all of having a "fetish". Also after seeing some posts that brought up Garrus, how is wanting a Qunari LI(male or female) any wierder/fetishtistic[sic] than romancing Garrus?

It's always the people accusing the fans of qunari for having a fetish that bring up qunari dick sizes
