So, I don't know if it's been stated yet but does anyone know or have any guesses as to how you refuel the ship? I know that when you run out you use up minerals till you refuel again but how do you refuel??

I think refuelling is a really stupid idea, and odd considering they dumbed down lots of gameplay features, yet made space travel more complex.

There are refueling stations in most settled system. Before heading out to the uncharted worlds, you will fuel up there. If you run out of fuel, you will have to burn through your mineral resources.

vids have shown refueling stations in some star systems, so probably those.

Did the OP ask for your opinion on refueling? No. They asked a simple question. If you don't have anything constructive to say, keep it to yourself.

Nothing has been dumbed down.  They trimmed and removed the uncessary.

One thing I don't understand, does fuel cost credits?
If we run out of credits, minerals AND fuel, what happens then? Do we play Quezar until we got enough credits?

Isn't there also a mini game to scan for fuel and or resources on planets? Or is refuelling limited to stations only?

"Dumbed down" is just an euphanism for streamlining.  It just has negative connotations, it still means the same thing.

They did dumb down the gameplay, doesn't mean it will be bad but after playing Dragon Age and it seems like each class will have one playstyle and it will be incredibly hard to have any meaningful development in any direction other than the game wants you to. (Eg in DA:O you can make a mage that just buffs/debuffs or as a damage dealer but in mass effect you will play a class the way you're meant to and play another one to experience any variety)

don't see how the gameplay has been dumbed down. Stat based hacking has been removed, which was annoying in ME1. Health regeneration was all over the place in ME1, and stat based shooting has been removed, which is also a good thing.

If anything, shooting will become harder for a lot of people since they don't have the crutch of having a game give them 100% accuracy.

When you pick up resources from a planet, you can use those resources to research and create upgrades for you equipment, your squadmates, and the Normandy itself.

If you are stuck out in the wilderness, and run out of fuel, you'll have to use those resources to refuel the ship, which obviously is a waste.

And if you don't have any resources?

I think a dev comment in the old forums said that if you run out of fuel you have an emergency supply to take you back to Cerberus HQ.

Am i wrong in saying that the "fuel" is actually a combination of static discharge that forces you to ground a ship against a relay or suitiable planet lest you fry the entire crew as opposed to actual fuel (although thruster propellant could be an issue the main reacors driving your primary engines would have years of life)

The devs opted to call it the mechanism, designed to prevent you reaching the entire galaxy until you'd upgraded somewhat, "fuel" simply so people less familiar with the lore could grasp the concept.
