I can't wait for nubs to come out and call out all the little mistakes like last time, assuming that is one of the ones I'll hear about on tumblr and other places later

I'm sorry, I noticed Weiss' uncomfortable pose (Seriously try that, it's uncomfortable) and now I can't ignore it.

Besides, aren't I already established as the guy who gives RWBY a healthy amount of tough love and critique? I love the show sure, but it's far from perfect and I find many people are too nice about it. Only way you get better is from criticism, which is why, say, RWBY Remembrances positive reviews bug the everlasting crap out of me, it's comforting, sure, but I sure ain't learning much from it.

Hey now, I take note of them so I can learn from it

It's sort of the field of work I'm going into, yahknow?

Although it is quite possible you don't, and realize that I may have not even mentioned my notes of all inconsistencies animation wise.

So I guess you probably don't know.

Never mind then.

I'm the kind of person who looks over these sorts of things, even if I notice them. Doesn't bother me because I recognize its animation and these things will happen. Of course its great to point them out, that way folks don't get lazy and haphazardly put something together. Its just ridiculous when people will find the smallest error and make it out to be the biggest deal in history(ex- Frozen)

You don't do that tho, so you're good.

I very much like that Velvet recolour. But then I liked the armour anyway, so that wasn't too much of an ask. Seemed to look good on the model too.

And lol @ Monty's train of thought behind Crescent Rose.

That video was awesome, and I really like the recoloring. XD It looks loads better now, imo.

The team could stand to work on their non-combat animations, especially since the fans are out there telling people how great the animation is.

Standards are important.

I assume you're referring to Velvet's armor and not Vale? Or both.

I agree. Just checked it out now. The color scheme fits Velvet more now.

Vale getting a facelift was also awesome, as was hearing/seeing what goes into the designs and artwork.

Ah, so that IS what you meant. See what assuming gets you, people? lol

I personally like more vibrant backgrounds, but it sounds like they put a lot of thought into the new color scheme, and they have pretty good reasoning to do so, so I'm pretty much okay with the change. Not that they need my approval or anything; I'm just sayin'.

I'm also a fan of the more vibrant backgrounds in certain media, but clearly they want the color of the characters to come out more, and this is how they chose to do it. We'll see if the intended effect occurs and works out for them.

Yeah, the new scenes in the school definitely show how it's going to work, and its pleasant to my eyes, lol. Also, Weiss' animation doesn't look as bad in video as it does in gif. It looks more natural.

Carrying blades around the workplace is clearly RT standard procedure though.

What with Monty casually messing around with Gambol Shroud after all. (I'm assuming that's what it was)

It was indeed Gambol, but it seems it was made and carved from foam.

At least that's how I would have done it, two pieces of foam carved, put a sheet of balsa wood in between for durability, paint it, and there we go.

Won't be able to chop anything, but you could smack it against someone's head and not break it.

I'd prefer a Plastic core for something like that, but that's the biased old Nerf sword collector in me talking.

I say balsa because it can be cut more accurately, and is easier to find than plastic.

But plastic would be better tho, if you could find and work it.
