Y'know, I don't think so. I think people are more willing to let that one stick in fanon, given the Black trailer and now Sun's involvement. There's nothing separating Weiss and Ruby though, so if that ship gets sunk, I see the internet screaming in unison and me laughing in the corner.

I actually don't know if it does. Even so, as I said before, I'm of the mind that they'll generally give it a pass if it gets knocked out canonically, as compared to the Weiss/Rubes ship.

That would be interesting if they did make it canon, but at least from what I've seen, I got the sense that it was more them shipping their own characters than anything they really had planned.
