New Cycle, new beginnings, new story.
They had to start with what was an ending. 11+ is a sequel, and had to start fresh.

As was Reconstruction. Yet stuff happened. Every scene was important.
In Season 11...most of it's filler; and not particularly funny. Which is what I believe it's purpose was, comedy.
