Let's look you over Weiss.

 

Weiss' sculpt is a vast improvement over Rubys already, especially in the hair, face, and Skirt ruffles, though her right hand is a bit off, however that could be the lighting.

Paint apps are better, and the pose is much more visually striking and allows for better positioning for display.

Overall, not bad, definite improvement I can see without purchasing both when I could be buying Sayaka Figmas.

Do I still think $35 is too much? A little yeah, but it seems like Weiss offers a bit more in displaying potential that Ruby, so it's more worth your money.

Kidding me? It looked like Ruby's face was melting at certain angles and her hair was a jagged clump of poorly painted plastic.

I love how whenever I say anything about the damn "Figures" Everyone has the opposite opinion, this is like JCs Avatar all over again!

I think while Ruby's head was better shaped her face looked kinda off. Like it had been melted a little.

I agree with you on everything you said, it's just that Weiss' face looks a little pudgy, and Ruby's general facial shape was more accurate.

Ok, I misunderstood.

The thing about RWBYs art style is that it doesn't translate into plastic as well as other things.

So certain off-modelness is bound to happen.

I doubt Macfarlane or RT cared about my Critisism of the Ruby figure, but I can see more of an attempt to make Weiss more presentable from all angles, hence the chubbier face.

(Also who's to say Weiss hasn't increased her cupcake intake)

But like I keep saying it, the deal breaker is the price, it's still not worth $35, I still say they should be $25.

The figures are not as well translated, true, but I disagree that the art style makes it difficult.

 

If anything, it's native 3D format should make it easier.

Not everything can be Beast Wars quality man (Which had a tendency to make characters hasbro then had to replicate in Toy Form.)

Here's another Transformers example, Movie Optimus (I'll be using Leader Class figures, but I can also bring up the Voyagers if anyone wants)

My point being it takes time to replicate designs accurately from 3D models. Unless it's the Pacific Rim figures, but those things are horrible...The Godzilla Figures though...

Now that the stuff about Weiss' "Figure" is aside let's talk about the new opening.

 

Great stuff. Better energy both from Caseys voice and the action shown on screen, and more focus on the whole cast kicking ass then just RWBY.

Also a great amount of characters revealed (though more focus of that one girl I notoriously like would help out a bit more )

and the song is pretty good, a better pace for an action series' OP, and Caseys just killing it (I love this will be the day, but it's got some pacing problems, for action series I prefer more rocking faster tunes then slower. Compare SAO's Crossing Field to Innocence, I like both but Crossing Field I like better for it's energy)

Also the Contrast/Saturation effect looks great, very eye-catching.
