Anyway, is there any supposition for what the next episode is going to cover?
I'm assuming we might learn a bit more about "Phase Two".
Team RWBY and JNPR meet Suns friend and we get some info about where he's from. I hope we get more info about the tournament as well :L

Graphically, it looks like the characters are more detailed on hair. Neptune's is particularly striking - something you'd see out of Eternal Sonata/Tales of Vesperia/etc. The first scene with our thugs made for a good enough way to grow invested in the characters before the last scene in Super-Secret-Warehouse or whatever it was. Almost had a Team Rocket feel.
So that food fight. That was arguably the best food fight ever created, or at the very least the best choreographed. I was genuinely surprised by the creative uses of Sausage links, and dat turkey. The scene itself is a smart way to bring out the action without being serious about it. They've still got good humor, and the first episode cements that in.
Good choice on moving to 15-minute blocks. It feels about right.

Anyone remember how I immediately thought about Loituma Ren when I saw the episode and wondered how long until we'll see fanart of it?
Here it is:

No, just 300+ consecutive hours will do that to you

No, just 300+ consecutive hours will do that to you
Do you want to tell me you sat through 300+ hours of it, non-stop?
Because I will not believe you've managed to stay up 12+ days without fatigue/i.e. staying conscious.

I played it in my sleep.
Why would I stay awake for 12 days?
That's dangerous. 8 days is my max.

So, let's not ignore the most important fighter in the entire fight scene.
Jaune

That's the karma you get when you get a whole 24 minutes to character development before the main cast.

Indeed. I always thought Nora was best the best character so I'm glad she can hold her own.

I'm sure that frontflip was very important.
It was a key part of JNPR's strategy.
After all, whose watermelon do you think Nora used for her hammer?
