I'm expecting him to become pretty strong. He has that whole "unlimited untapped potential" thing going for him. Plus, it seems like Pyrrha is the type of character that knows how to bring out the best in people. He has a bright future, but it's fun having a lovable loser around for a little bit.

It would've been interesting to have been around during the "Cardin is not a good person" arc.

Jaundice and Forever Fall should've been done way later, giving Jaune more of a chance to be a legitimate screw-up. Because as is. He didn't have motivation, and his outburst comes right out of nowhere.

Well, I'm not so sure that I entirely agree with you, ClonesLegacy. I know that when I was in high school I would be prone to do some irrational stuff because I was disappointed in myself, so I felt like other people were disappointed in me. Jaune seems like a character that is about personal growth. He doesn't want to draw strength from other people; he wants to draw strength from himself. What he doesn't realize is that learning to accept help (especially from a person like Pyrrha) is part of becoming a stronger and better person. He seemed to learn from his mistake by the end of the arc, and that is what gives me confidence that he will become competent sooner rather than later. That is, of course, assuming that the RWBY staff doesn't want to make him the comic relief character of the show.

This part I'm sorry, I can't agree with.

 

It was something that needed to be done early, because then it would just be painful to see it dragged on and on, and let's face it, he would be kicked out by Volume 2 if not for the help.

 

What would have been better is if at the end of Jaundice he accepted her help reluctantly via Pyrrha asskicking, then the Forever Fall arc come up later.
