So I just watched the first episode, and Nora is still kinda the greatest.  Also Mr. Cool Blue Hair guy.

 

Other than that, initial impressions are positive. I really liked Emerald and Mercury, but Cinder didn't quite hit the mark with me for some reason...maybe it was voice acting.  Looking forward to episode 2 tonight.

Ah RT. Episode 2 and we're already playing the big guns. Fine by me.

 

First the elephant in the room. We already knew Mercury and Emerald would be at Beacon, but CINDER? Had to go locate my jaw after that one, jeez.

 

Awesome flashback shenanigans there to unseen events from after last volume. Loved that.

 

James seems like a nice man. Thought he was going to be a villain. Though Glynda doesn't seem to like him much. Maybe he is a villain.

 

Oh and RT seems to be giving the white rose shippers some serious ammo. That shared lament of the game? And Weiss seemingly having acquired a little more... 'quirkiness', to say the least. Too much time with a certain someone? RT, no.

I saw a lot of animation errors though, more than usual, and it might just be me, but something about the colors looked off, everyone was almost glowing, and it wasn't their auras.
