Well it depends on how many episodes there are but if theres an equal amount as volume 1 it will be more than twice as long.

I'm still doubtful how they're going to tackle so many characters' stories with a runtime of 11 minutes though, particularly if they keep introducing more and more.

I imagine most will simply be colorful characters supporting those that are the prime focus(Team RWBY).

Not what I expected from the episode and frankly, there's no plot progression other than:

The Big Bad and her two Dragons having infiltrated Beacon under the premise of being exchange students from Haven.



Which by the way leads me to wonder if Mr. General from Haven had anything to do with it.

I prefer the original opening song. It was more fast paced. This was a build-up episode, and it went by very fast. Next week should be interesting.
