Roosterteeth held a contest last year where they asked fans to make art for basically the cover of a RWBY movie, and that was one of the submissions. There were some fantastic ones.

I think that should wait a few years down the line. I'd like to see that perhaps after a good 4-5 years. If the show picks up more steam, if they can get some pros to help with the animating, lighting, such and such. Get some other folks to help Jeff and Casey Williams with the soundtrack, etc etc.

Well I think it'd primarily come from the Tumblrites.
Since DashCon showed they will donate to anything.
BUT THEY GOT AN EXTRA HOUR IN THE BALLPIT!
I can only imagine if RWBY had like 4-5 or later on even 7-8 volumes under its belt(preferably the latter), and then Roosterteeth put up an indiegogo campaign for a full length RWBY feature film.
Have the fundraising time last a few months, rather than just one. Or have it at one initially, then extend it. Hype it up to max, on Crunchyroll, on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, news stations(as RWBY has been on the Austin, Texas local news before), RTX, Comic Con, anime conventions, etc etc

Netflix it man. Great show.
One of the best since Beast Wars. It's a shame I didn't give it a chance until now.
I recall Monty making a note of Yang's weakness being against people who predominantly use kicks, since she predominantly uses her fists.
Best Character Yang is gonna have problems against Mercury at some point. She certainly took longer to take out Melanie Malachite(kicks) than her sister Miltiades(punches) in the Yellow trailer.
