People are talented. Gotta dig what they can put together.
Including the artists behind the actual show.

And on the breaking moon, that had originally made me think this was going to be a timeline kind of thing, with us seeing Ruby's time period effect Weiss' time period et cetera.

I'm jealous of that person for having so good rough sketches.

Oh, you mean like four different periods of time in the world, Ruby's being the oldest, Yang's being the most recent?
That would've been interesting. But I think I'm more of a fan of how they're actually doing it, with all the girls together in the same time period.

Just one of the many tangents my brain goes off on that I latched to.
Like that Crescent Rose would have to have a caliber up wards of 80 in order to cause that kind of damage and recoil for her to use it for blade power and movement.

I believe Monty said at RTX that Ruby has the widest, most honest eyes while Blake has the most narrow and trained eyes. That each character's appearance is based on characteristics and detailed a certain way to convey certain things(that he won't talk about yet). Little things like that are really cool.
When it comes to how strong a weapon has to be to allow a character to use its recoil to traverse the battlefield, well, I think we can give that a pass. hahaha

Not really.
Most high powered guns have significant recoil, it's just that everyone trains to compensate and stabilize. Also most high caliber rifles come with integrated recoil reduction systems.
I am certain that if you held a rifle in a loose grip designed to direct the recoil into a circular motion you'd be surprised how much power you can harness.
To be fair, it wouldn't suffice for such stunts, any recoil that's strong enough to lift someone up would be impossible to actually hold in hand.

Can't decide whether I'm more excited for this or the new season of Korra. ...At least this one has a solid release date.
I also re-subbed to RoosterTeeth. Holy subbox spam.

Notice character posture. Yang stands a certain way, in order to absorb damage she takes and hold her ground, while Ruby is pretty much relying on her weapon entirely.
Only logical. Yang is basically using a style of kick-boxing (with emphasis on boxing) where a grounded posture is required to coil up your stance, allowing you to transfer a large percentage of your bodies energy and mass into a punch and to absorb incoming impacts without losing balance.
Ruby on the other hand wields a massive weapon that requires a constant flow of kinetic energy for fluent movement, so a loose posture is best to keep a circular motion intact and to direct that energy along a path the wielder desires without needing excessive body strenght to force the weapon into position.
