Ruby's semblance is speed, she's supposed to be fast. None of the others are as fast as Ruby, naturally so.

Basically, yeah. Not called that, but in practice thats how it works. She can make somewhat solid copies of herself.

But "Shadow" makes absolutely no explanation of it, and have yet to see where it is actually called Shadow, even though it says it's from the Director's commentary, I would have remembered that.

 

Only way it would make sense is if they put another Naruto reference with her.

Shadow is like the Superhero I came up with in Elementary School, The Shadow Follower. Who had the power to travel between shadows.
