I think I'm gonna watch RWBY not just in its original form but in Japanese with English subs if its good.

rewatching episode 4 for the dozenth time just for team rwby and their alt outfits plus Neo's incredible smirk, Penny's statement about being the 'first synthetic person capable of generating an aura' makes me think of another interpretation for that line. 

 

Maybe Atlas or Ironwood has already succeeded in creating synthetic people before but not to the extent of emulating Aura. Why that is especially important for them to pursue that is beyond me though.

You know, I've been thinking about it, and if things ever get dark in this show, then Yang is going to be in quite a bit of trouble. Her fighting style begs for her to take a few hits, and she has a foolhardy sister. I think one of their reckless natures is going to get Yang hurt or killed due to the fact that they fight giant monsters of doom. Either that or Blake/Weiss will do a heroic act of self sacrifice.

 

This is actually another thing the fans seemed to really latch onto from the last episode

I must confess to being in the "that's an anime crowd." I saw a picture of it at Anime Expo and I was like oh huh I wonder which one that is. Of course I found out later it wasn't actually from Japan. 

 

The character designs in particular are striking enough to seem like anime characters, although I haven't watched the show. That other one...Legend of Korra? That one struck me as distinctly American despite being presented otherwise.

 

Characters named and themed after ice cream is a decidedly good thing.

I've watched everything from the Yang interrogation/Sun and Blake escape on at least a million times by now. So good.
