I enjoyed the first season but boy did it have a lot of problems. Season 2 is a lot more like I hoped RWBY would be.

Think the world building episode took a bit of steam from the fandom in terms of art and stuff?

Wait for today's episode. Chances are well they introduce the rest of Sun's team, which will kick the fandom's art circles into overdrive again.

Watched the episode.
Was nice, though I have to say I expected something more.
As for Jaune:

One person complained about the anger of anther person, a third person got angry(admittedly a little too much), and it apparently widened the divide in the sub-groups of the thread, which was counter-intuitive to the original goal of the third person.
Lesson of the day: Anger because one side doesn't want to work for peace is not going to solve anything.
Also of note: BLEGH, This is exactly what I was afraid of happening, Pyrrha, please let me be Misinterpreting your Intentions, or I am just going to be disappointed.
It's just so CLICHE, I was able to handle the obvious with Penny being a 'bot, and Blake being a Faunus, but come on, get something a little fresher going!

Pyrrha focus, good.
But if this evolves to more episodes devoted to the Jaune pity party Imma git mad.

Welp with all the hints thrown out we all know how Jaune's going to learn the secret to his Semblance is. Just that if it's going to suck if they go about how I imagine this is going to play out. Good investment they have created in the characters at least.
Blake putting herself through the grinder still it seems.

That new ep was great.
Blake really is dedicated to their investigation huh? Seems like that'll be a problem soon.
And I get that Pyrrha is good, but damn, what a show eh?

I don't know why though.

Hey, hey kids it's Clones "Up all night to get lucky" hour.
I'm gonna say something that's been weighing on me since Episode 4.
Why does it feel like only 2 of the fights really had any stakes?
The problem RWBY has I feel so far with the action, while pretty lacks any kind of danger for the main cast, except chapter 8, and even there it lost that luster pretty quickly. There's also Jaune and the Ursa Major, but that wasn't designed to be all cool and such, and it was in a bad strong of episodes anyway. Hardly made up for the rest of the Tame Degrassi arc.
Am I infallible of this myself? No. Remembrance had that problem which I hope to write better fights when I start doing the follow-up Project Evolution.
But pretty much RWBY seems untouchable. They even took down a giant War Mech! (Another thing I'm guilty of, but in my defense that thing was piloted by a damaged cyborg torso, not a full human being!)
Yangs Semblance may have some kind of limit, but given how Aura is already a pretty poorly explained thing with its limits, it's hardly Yangs fault she comes off rather OP.
What I'm going to put in the tags are some kickass fights. Because I shouldn't post at 1 AM...

The problem with RWBY is that villains and Grimm just seem massively ineffectual. They do a thing get beat up and then run away they are no threat since everyone just steamrolls all over them.

I can see Blake doing this eventually.
Wish I knew how to edit gifs and draw so I could draw blake doing this exact thing.

Exactly.
I put Dinobots death up there for a reason, he takes out the entire Predacon team, but dies in the process.
And by dies I mean, unless you count his clone (which you shouldn't), he doesn't come back.
Henchmen should be somewhat competent. If Waspinator can do more in a fight than your henchmen and monsters you gotta reevaluate something. Because Waspinator is the most useless thing since...Nothing...nothing is as useless as Waspinator...except maybe Jaune.

Hey Jaune killed an Ursa he's at least a scrap of use. Even though Yang killed 3 without trying.

That is more than Waspinator ever did.
In Beast Wars anyway. His Animated counterpart did something at least other than be blown to scrap every episode.
