Oobleck looks all ready to dispense some Grimm like it's a camping trip. There's hope for a dynasty-warrior-style-all-you-can-hack action later on.

-The story is finally getting back on track.
-Wondering where the whole dog thing goes... (I hope they don't go with the whole dog sidekick thing)
-Blake scared of dogs?
-Pets on campus?
-The south (east) shall rise again!
-Lastly, gotta love Oobleck. (expecting at least one imperialistic British term from him. Acting kind of like Van Pelt)

Could be a Cowboy Bebop thing. Corgis as cute relief during the storyline makes everything better. It's science. Unless they get a lil cape for him, I'll pass on the sidekick.Wondering where the whole dog thing goes... (I hope they don't go with the whole dog sidekick thing)
Yep, things are actually going somewhere. There's major lead-up near the end that whatever missions are ahead could be pretty serious. It isn't just goofy training anymore. The story is finally getting back on track.
The end was rather smashing.

First thing that comes to mind is a circus ringleader.
I wish she could wear her second outfit instead...permanently.
Least I can tell what the hell it is.

I cam understand comic relief, but I don't want the whole "your a problem, but we still love you" story.
(Example: Zwei barks at Blake during a major moment where stealth is a necessity. They get mad. At the end they forgive him because he redeemed himself and proved useful)

It's a dog. Logic dictates that it will die horribly and everyone will cry.

My reaction to this was a combination of all these...

Me thinks that Oobleck is my kind of character.
Might just be me analyzing things to much, but the southeast ruins dealing with expansion might be a reference to the first attempted expansion onto North American soil by the British. Roanoke Island was located in the southeast of the United States and the city was discovered in ruin in 1590. Sooo... YEAH! Idk am I looking too far into this?

This describes me thinking about this subject...

Oobleck left out the reason behind the fall of the city. Was there infighting that attracted the Grimm or something else?
Given the exposition last episode I was thinking Cinder's backers would be remnants of the losers from the war eighty years ago, stirring up division and conflict between the kingdoms to seize power again. Now what if there were ancient Grimm that grew far beyond learning to wait and bide their time?

I've been considering saying the Remembrance Sequel started if anyone wants to read it.
Also. I'm sick and feel only like watching Video on Trial. So I shall watch New RWBY later when this cold clears up.
Also I did the thing.

Really wish Nigri had used a silver pen ![]()

There are reasons for this.
Oobleck stated those reasons. Kinda.
I have been told I am a calmer version of Oobleck.
Also Ruby was cute when she got excited when Oobleck told her there was a monster to fight right behind her.

Probably.
Also this thread had a long good run.

Fine.
You know what?
Ruby isn't getting attacked because she isn't doubting herself, or doesn't have any inner turmoil. Oobleck was interrogating WBY to bring these insecurities to the forefront, because it is going to get them killed. Especially in a Grimm infested urban ruin. And if no buildings topple while they are inside fighting Grimm, colour me only slightly disappointed.
He's not going to be actually disappointed at all, he's just saying it.
Quiet.

Nothing.
I just got bored and figured I'd spill what was probably the plot for the majority of this arc.

Ok...
But you should re-word it...unless you mean Oobleck wants to kill everyone other than Ruby and Zwei.
