I don't think its necessarily a hint at Yang/Neo 2. Could be someone else. I'm open to it being somebody else even though there's clearly a rivalry between the two being set up.

 

What we do know is that when the time comes Best Character Yang's finally ready to kick Neo's ass, she's gonna do it in honor of a certain somebody.

Big anime fan and only discovered RWBY a couple months back.  It has instantly become one of my favorites.  I think I must have watched it a dozen times back to back.  For sure makes my top 10 and quite possibly could squeeze into my top 5 favorites of all time.  It has the best fight sequences (and the greatest food fight ever!)  Very much looking forward to Season 3.  RIP Monte and thank you.
