Or perhaps the scope is part of the weapon and she just didn't use it/we didn't see it in the video because there wasn't a need.

Perhaps the Sythce part of her weapon also also works as a scope? Speaking of weapons, why does every weapon so far has some kind of dual function as a projectile weapon. Just something I've noticed.

If there's one thing you can be certain about humanity, it's that however outlandish, stupid, malignant, suicidal, crazy or whatever superlative you could dream up with something might seem, someone will have done it if it's even remotely possible given their respective contemporary ressource availability.
And if it's impossible to do due to technology limitations, someone will have thought about it anyway. Most of that particular stuff is sold in literacy or modern entertainment containers.
