Not bad. So far i like the artstyle, and choreography of the fight scenes. (especially Weiss's and Yang's) This series has Samurai Jack like potentiaI, so it'll be interesting to see how the story develops.

You know, if I had to use one of the weapons that Team RWBY uses(in their universe), I'd use Myrtenaster.
Crescent Rose is a scythe, its too big, and while I'm sure I could use it if Ruby can, ITS A SCYTHE. Cool as it is, come on. Sure its a gun too, but I've got a light frame, I'd have to use the recoil to propel myself like Ruby does.
Gambol Shroud? Hell no. Not unless I wanted to risk killing myself.
Ember Celica? Hell yeah, more my style. One problem- screw up during maintenance and chances are your forearms are GONE. I'm rather fond of my forearms.
Myrtenaster though? Its not too big, it won't fly around and kill me when it comes back, it won't blow up in my face, and even if I lacked the Dust to work its magical properties, its STILL a rapier I can use normally.

Seems to me like both the scythe and the chain scythe follow the rule of "add gun, make cooler" a la gunblades, Yang has power gauntlets like in Advent Children and uses Nova, and Weiss has the Guilty Crown apparently. (summoning magic circular sky platforms to aid mobility is pretty distinctive I think)

Someone asked at RTX if anyone would have a weapon that DIDN'T double as a gun of some sort, and Monty said that the weapons that have yet to debut won't be getting simpler, they'll just get MORE complex.

Maybe a Gun that shots bullets, but has a compartment that opens up like a Xenomorph's mouth and has a larger gun in it.

If I had to play a character in that world, I'd be written all anti-gun just to contrast with the doubling-as-a-gun thing everyone has going on.
And I'd wield a bow(w arrows) that doubles as a sword, and triples as two short swords.

It should be really interesting how all of these characters interact with each other. Though for some reason, it seems like the Black trailer is much less well done than the others. Maybe it's just the voice acting, but it might be the audio too. I dunno.
