I just done derped, I rewatched the first episode because I could have sworn that the group in the first episode was protesting animal testing.

No, they are a group of fauna, protesting for civil rights. And the White Fang group seems to oppose that idea, for whatever the reason.

That means Blake is quite possibly fauna and to be hiding it, because apparently they are not currently treated equally.

Exactly, that's why she was so anti-social in her first few appearances in episodes 2 and 3, but warmed up to the others recently.

So, tumblr's got some ideas behind the lyrics of the clip of "Gold" that I posted earlier(on this page).

My favorite theory is its from Yang to Ruby, basically saying she'll take care of her. Also, there's the lines,

I will burn like the sun

I will keep you safe and warm

Like the smell of the rose on summer’s day

I will be there to take all your fears away

With the touch of a hand

I will turn your life to gold

With the touch of a hand

I’ll turn your life to gold

So looking at that, burning like the sun comes straight out of Yang's section of I Burn. Turning her life to gold is similar to Yang's Yellow Beauty Burns Gold line, and then there's the interesting bit.

"Like the smell of a rose on a summer's day"

Summer Rose. The name on the tombstone that Ruby was leaning over in the Red trailer.
